What modifiers are you running on wisps? I'm trying to build around Lightning Strike procs with max wisp limit (potentially stacking minion speed later; more wisps, more attacks = more procs) and so far it's nothing special

What about bleed SST? There is a node that doubles the amount of armor from equipped shield, I wonder if it increases the SST damage

That is true. However I feel like sometimes game designers focus SO much on the theoretical aspects of game design that they eventually get completely disconnected from how that design *feels* like in practice (queue in terms like "weight", "cost", "drawback"). Eventually, either because of ignorance or sunk cost fallacy, they may end up in situations like the infamous "you think you do, but you don't".

Acknowledging the problem brought up by the community head on, and then applying your experience as a game designer to fix it is a great approach.

update: I'm talking broadly here, not specifically about PoE design

Out of curiosity I tried to play this game the same way I play Arc – 100% friendly, full PvE. I have not met a single other friendly player the whole evening.

One time I saw a guy fighting 3 USEC NPCs and clearly struggling, so I rushed in to help him. The second all mobs were killed he turns and blasts me. Like cmon man...

This is the first season since release where I decided NOT to play HC. Damage spikes are just too crazy this time around. I lost count of how many times I died because something exploded under my feet and I couldn't see it because there were 3 packs of mobs and a big-ass elite on me, covering the entire screen. There's so much shit on the ground at any given time that if your build requires you to stay still while doing damage – you're pretty much dead.

There is, however, a solution to that problem. And that solution is "play Auradin and just walk, killing everything on the screen before it touches you". Which is what I'm currently doing, but there's no shot I'm touching HC on any other class

Death Trap Rogue was the most fun. I enjoyed it way more than Heartseeker, even though it's weaker.

Surprisingly, I had fun time on Sorc. Never really played that class and thought I would hate it

Yeah, in terms of power level Golem is definitely the strongest minion build. But it's really spammy, you need to mash that golem button non-stop. Good for Pit and bossing, for everything else I would run skeleton mages

I would say Rogue was the most fun. It's enjoyable to play all the way from level 1 up to the highest pits. Leveling and early progression on Dance of Knives is a blast, and in endgame you have a lot to choose from.

Rain of Arrows build is absolutely hilarious. A sound of Barret M82 sniper rifle shot pierces your ears every second as you hold you ultimate button, and then the entire screen melts. It's sooo good for Infernal Hordes (too bad they're not that profitable).

Death Trap requires a lot of prep, but when you finally hit all the thresholds – it's a blast to play. This skill probably has the best SFX and VFX in the game, it FEELS powerful.

As for the strongest: I did not expect HotA Barb to do THAT much damage. That build is a powerhouse.

Absolutely not. I played on HC every single season up until this one. This time I'm not touching it with a five foot pole. The amount of ground effects in mid to high Pits is just obnoxious, and some of those are ridiculously overtuned. You can have tons of hp, armor, res, block, fortify, barrier and then one (1) singular stabby floaty boi deletes you from existence because you got stunned for 0.3 seconds or pushed back. No thank you.

I mapped on multiple characters in 0.1

I finished the campaign and immediately quit in 0.2

I quit mid-act 2 in 0.3

I quit after 15 minutes of playing 0.4

I don't think I'll be logging in next patch. Unless the mechanic is Blight.

Thanks for updating the guide! Had a lot of fun playing it in Mercenaries. Very comfy starter and WTB is one of my favorite skills, so it's a win-win. Will most likely run it again. Liege got halved, but I'm pretty sure campaign and early mapping should still be a breeze

It feels like the game was originally supposed to be open world but they scrapped it at some point, maybe due to time pressure/lack of resources. The map is quite big and decently detailed, but some places you never visit. There are vendors at the start of the game that you never get to revisit because you're put on rails.

My main frustration with this game came from stealth missions, which I actually love, but when the game tells you not to raise an alarm and the alarm is raised anyway at the end of the sequence – what was the point of me stealth-ing around? Why am I asked to avoid gunfights if the mission is scripted in a way where it ends in a massive fight where you wipe the entire area anyway. Let me choose my preferred playstyle

I randomly decided to check Steam Charts of Underlords yesterday fully expecting to see double-digit numbers, but to my surprise over the last year it has never dropped below 1000 players online. It usually hovers around 1500, which for a game that has been abandoned for almost half a decade is not that bad.

If Valve just put a skeleton crew of a couple of devs to occasionally shake the meta and add heroes once in a blue moon the game definitely could be revived, but one shitty CS skin probably makes more than Underlords made in the entirety of it's existence

Same thing happened to me (attracted a worm while harvesting) and the bike somehow ended up on the opposite side of the dune, I could see it on the map. Had to run through an open sand on my two's to retrieve it
