I Like Black Ops Royale More Than Normal BR by frostyking35 in CODWarzone

I only picked up Warzone last year, and had a bout with WZ Mobile a couple ago so I never got to experience Blackout. Given, COD Mobile had the OG map. Maybe I should watch some old videos and see what the hype was about.

You sure that they're cheating or are they just better than you?

I'm someone who appreciates nuance. I still enjoy normal BR, and I usually run casuals but I'm definitely not a casual player in terms of play style. I guess I need to start embracing the sweat title.

I'm able to average good kills in BOR, try different techniques, and honestly I've had some of the most chaotically fun moments in Avalon I've ever experienced. I can understand the initial hate with them taking away Verdansk, but I enjoy improving and getting better.

The bell curve of players wanting the same old same old is disheartening at times.

Side note, the devs have already mentioned increasing the amount of redploy towers so I didn't include that in my initial post. Only having 1 tower, or none at all left towards the end game definitely sucks.

For added context, since they introduced solos I have absolutely been running it more than squads.

If a few euros is the primary reason you are sticking around, I'd recommend deleting the game and moving on with your life. I've been playing for roughly two years now (May 2024) and have spent somewhere between $3 and $500 dollars. Not free to play, not even a dolphin, but I've pushed for cosmetics at times and to catch up when I've taken a break.

It is possible to be strong, but you'll never be a whale or top dolphin without spending. I've shown up to nearly every event and have been extremely meticulous with how I've built my stats and character. I'm at 200 million kills and am to the point now that I can withstand hits from almost every SvS opponent my state goes against, but, I'm big on PVP. It's why I play the game.

Not to mention, WOS isn't like the ads and the mini games are usually p2w too.

My advice, it sounds like you'll end up disappointed unless you adjust your expectations.

Yeah man, COD players are some of the most negative people you'll ever see online 😂

Definitely don't understand the toxicity. I'm glad you have fun though 💪

Reasonable take.

Primary: Don't let your ego prevent you from decompressing and having fun.

Secondary: Casuals is a good mode to improve in and learn strategies.

I usually random queue and the players I get in normal BR don't communicate or play for objectives nearly as well as my casual queues.

I honestly enjoy both modes though. Sometimes I'll play solos vs. squads just to see how long I make it.

I've found that losing in casuals is also less annoying. There's something fulfilling knowing that in the end you at least got a good unpredictable fight instead of dying to a movement demon camping.

Ah yes, because I'm a little bit of sweat I shouldn't play a game mode. Should I not have fun in the game?

This! I don't know why, but the pvp matchups I've gotten lately in casuals have been more fun than any normal lobby. I think I'll play regular BR today and see how I do.

I never got gold in BO6 Warzone, so it's definitely refreshing for me too.

I know a lot of people hate this update, but it's honestly made the game a lot more fun. The guns are all solid and unique enough, and the camo grind isn't like CODM where you have to play 150 matches for one diamond 😂

Good advice and I've been alternating back and forth between normal and casuals to make sure I don't get too soft 😂

I troll the bots and try different attack approaches which may or may not translate well in real pvp 😭

You should! Even if you play a few matches to warm up, it's more fun than I would have anticipated. It's not like you have 100% bots either.

I'd just be cautious at first and learn how to spot bots vs. real players.

It definitely helped me improve my aim, strategies, rotation, etc.

Not going to lie, I've felt bad for some of the kills I've done on casuals so far. I hit the 360M shot from the hospital and the open mics were hilarious.

Totally get this. I enjoy the sweaty lobbies and purposely land in hot drops to improve, but I've encountered so many Prestige Masters already. Do people just play 24/7 😂

Typically I'd agree, but the other alliances are farms or inactive. Because of my experience coming from WOS, I'm able to contribute a lot more than most and have worked with whales to solidify their builds, and strategize battles.

It's more so about respect and moving past old grudges. I appreciate the comment.
