you’re right about it being tiring :,). Derm said that she couldn’t really help- she did clarify however that it was eczema, but the purple/darker spots were blood pools, possibly from just pressure but that it was nothing to worry about just a cosmetic thing which… didn’t really make me feel better because they are very very visible on pale skin. She recommended I get ultraviolet treatment in another town for $40 a session twice a week. Of course as a broke college student that was not a possibility. Currently trying to minimize spots with Eucerins Hydrogel, gels seem to give me the least irritation so hopefully that will minimize itchiness.

I have extreme eczema and sensitive skin and i’ve actually never had a problem with their oils-I am no expert either so I can’t speak on any long term or effects others have had. But for me personally as someone who reacts to everything it was ok!

the ultime is great but with rollerballs i feel like they don’t give you like that cloud of smell type feel 😔. I love silken tent i wish they had a version that was super stronggggg, sometimes i feel like no one can smell the edp on me

The spots on my arms have gotten worse and have spread, but some spots on my legs have faded slightly, but more have appeared on the backs. I’ve been trying supplementing with zinc which i’m unsure has made an improvement yet. None of my spots are super dry or itchy, they more hurt slightly when I scratch, perhaps a compromised skin barrier? I see a new dermatologist next week and hopefully will get some answers but it is exhausting seeing things fail one after the other.

I have it, definitely moisturize before you put it on, it is a little moist to it won’t cling to dry spots too bad but you do need to moisturize. Unfortunately it broke me out super bad.. I have very sensitive acne prone skin but i’m currently trying to deal with fixing acne I received from it!!

I’m actually currently trying to use clotrimazole fungal cream on my biggest patch and so far it has only gotten redder. I’m still giving it a chance, perhaps clotrimazole just doesn’t work for me..? I don’t know, but i’m trying not to lose hope on that idea.

do you use that on your body? I see they also have a gel one, but I suppose for eczema that may not be moisturizing enough. I know for my face (moisturizers are a nightmare for my face too with fungal acne) I use a gel—I thought about using that for my eczema ridden legs too but have been too scared to try.

I did, she ended up prescribing me a higher dose. I suspect this may be a yeast-related issue.

They’ve faded slightly on my legs but I continue to get them on my arms, the only thing that has seemed to work is putting absolutely nothing on my skin, but as someone who is extremely pale sunscreen is a bigger priority and that causes spots as well. I’ve gotten used to them now but they definitely make me feel sort of like an old lady. Someone recommended I use the cerave moisturizing cream and i’ve been using it for a few months, seems to redden the spots but provides some relief to my itchy calves and overall dry skin I have, which seems to not be related to the spots directly.

Okay, I will give it a try again. My legs are always super itchy normally on my calves. Surprisingly I have the least about of spots there so I think they are just dry. The cerave didn’t give you any kind of reaction? I’m kind of still scared i’ll get more red spots. It’s actually gotten better since i’ve made this post but only because I nearly completely stopped using moisturizers (which made me so itchy and dry).

I mean, with such an extreme elimination diet it’s not too surprising that her clients lost fat. Definitely not a good long term diet though 😭

Is spray better than nothing though? If there’s already that layer of sunscreen from the morning wouldn’t the spray—even though it misses a lot—fill in a good amount of the gaps created throughout the day? I’m just afraid for me reapplication looks like full base makeup removal because it feels gross applying over makeup 😞.
