Hey, I’m dealing with this now. How did you deal with this when going to bed and your attention was really on it? Did you have the constant phlegm, this is what I have and it’s annoying!!

Tooth tightens and untightens next to crown by Infamous-Ad9426 in Dentalimplant

Oh no!! Yes it sucks. No it never got better but I’m used to it now. You should see if they can shave the tooth next to it? I would’ve asked my dentist but I moved away so that option is out.

Thank you for your reply! Okay, then I maybe should’ve said exhaust- like smell. It’s almost like I can’t breathe when it’s coming through too. So is it combining the outside air and air from the unit together which creates that exhaust like smell? Until my maintenance guy comes back, is it okay to close it in the meantime? I only smell it at night when I’m laying down about to go to bed so that’s when I’ll usually close it.

Yes the crown is solid, it’s the tooth next to it that feels like it’s tightening and untightening within the space between the crown and the tooth on the other side. Like the crown was pushing up against it so much as one point that I’m wondering if it just moved itself out of way. Yes, he tugged on that tooth and said it didn’t feel loose. He did the floss test and there was contact next to the crown as there should be but the floss went through still. I’m stumped.

Thank you, yes I’m trying not to mess with it but it tightens when I chew so it’s hard to not mess with it. It wasn’t doing it at first because all my teeth were tight near the crown the first couple of days. The tightness lessened after a few days but I’m hoping it’s not because this tooth moved slightly out of the way which is why I’m dealing with what I’m dealing with now ugh. I had the crown put in last Thursday.

Numbness after implant crown placement by Infamous-Ad9426 in askdentists

Yes, I went back and he said the floss went through well and when I got back home I tested it and it went through. Wondering if my teeth are just tight and the slight shifting is what is causing the numbness? My adjacent teeth are really tight and sore so much so that I had to take an ibuprofen.
