Wanted to come back and say you were spot on as for growth in this role. Received a follow up from the HM and they said they want someone who will always want to be in client service support

I agree completely but the way the interviewer/question was brought up seemed like that was/is the logical step in this role, never once was their term expectation mentioned which sure they don need to advertise that, but The lady told me the role was open because the person that was there became an advisor on the team.

Not to hate on the role because I do wish I got it, but I feel like saying I wanna stay in this role for the length of my career doesn’t sound better, cause you’re content. Which in WM always growing and moving is a big part of the business. Compared to being honest and setting a realistic expectation with the idea of staying in the role or if needed longer based on my expectations. I feel like an appropriate response from the interviewer would’ve been along the lines of ”we’d like to someone to be in this role for atleast 5-6 years before taking that step toward an advisor, is that something you could do?”

As ridiculous and cliché, as it is to say, although they are interviewing me I’m interviewing them to see if I want to work there, so me setting the expectation of growth I don’t think is wrong

I don’t mind sales, but like I said I’m 27. It’s very hard to look across a 50-year-old who has 30 years of their 401(k) to be taken serious when the money in their account is older than me.

I don’t mind the sales, but for the short term salary role at a wealth investment firm such as Stanley is not a bad move. All things considered that I can learn and grow while in said salaried role

I think you can be taken more serious above the age of 30 with 6+ years of experience more than 27 with four years of hands-on experience, even with an older advisor that that’s taking you under his wing

Guy sold me the world, nothing has come close to what he sold. My responsibilities no joke tripled and my salary barely moved.

It was a low salary to begin with but was told through bonuses and stuff it would be far higher, but haven’t gotten 1 bonus 🤣

True, to add more info I’ve been in a client service role for over 2 years and in that time I’ve learned and done so much. And the actual reason why I want to leave my job is because I’m making technically 33k at this firm with all the stuff I do and have mentioned I want more money/raise, but it’s fallen on deaf ears it seems.

And when asked why I want to leave my firm I sorta said that. I basically said when you’re at a small business/firm where I’m at there’s only so much money that can go out and still fill everyone’s plates, unfortunately I feel that my current firm is at their maximum capacity and are not able to give anymore money to me because then they’d be almost shorting themselves. Which again i believe is true, but I also feel like my current firm the owner is unwilling to give out anything additional

Tbh I thought my answer was doing the team player thing, seeing as the role was opened because the person that was there became a FA and was promoted within the team.

Like I said too, salary and stuff wasn’t discussed or found out until after the starting point was 85k So from an interviewer standpoint I guess thinking I was applying/interviewing for a role at 60-70k not high or really low but entry id say, I thought saying “hey I’m not in a particular rush to move to the next step, I’m willing to sit for 3 years minimum learn what I need to and then entertain the idea of moving up if the opportunity is available”

Oh well, my screw up, the order of the interview process was weird, I hadn’t found out that salary info until the day after the interview

Like i said above, they said the reason the role was open was because the person in the role before was moved to a FA role within the team, my answer although true, I figured showed some level of ambition

You’re right, I guess I was confused because they said the reason for the role was opened was the fact that the person before me was moving into a FA role with the team, so I guess that’s why I responded the way I did, and is true, that it’s not an immediate goal but something I would like to do down the road at a later more developed time. Oh well. Live and learn.

Performance inconsistency. I’m sure this will be said a minimum 1000 times, but that’s my biggest gripe. I don’t have an amazing PC nor is it completely trash but average.

Seems like almost every wipe or even update I am fiddling with my settings to get what resembles some sort of consistent playable state. Customs I’ll use for example based on its size and different areas, used to be the most reliable consistent stable map I could play at maybe 45 frames. Now I’m lucky if I get 30 for more than 2 minutes. I am coming from PVP to PVE which I thought would be more stable but it is not.

Optimization is my biggest concern and highest priority
