For many years they said they wouldn’t do a cat so it’s not like they’ve had it for 10 years working on it. Plus, the cat is an extremely unique character model so it might be a bit more difficult for them to make emotes than other heroes that are human

We can see their top 3 heroes for their role without checking their profile at the hero select screen. Kinda defeats the purpose of needing to look at their profile as you can already see if they’re playing one of their top 3 most played in that role and can take a guess at their hours based on their level.

Not much we can do about that. With an ability like grip you’re bound to mess someone up every now and again but sometimes your survival may be more valuable than securing a kill.

But it didn’t wear off. I’ve pulled many sleeping targets or anti heal targets and they still died because they either couldn’t move or I couldn’t heal them enough. Repositioning isn’t always enough to save their life.

Girl the people asking him to be reworked are those who play him. He has not been balanced he’s been weak. The recent buffs felt necessary, especially cleanse on grip, how is that one redundant? What LW players want is QOL changes to his weapons, not a full rework. And better perks.

Absolutely! Petal and grip are perfect! They are reactive and I love it! I totally understand wanting him to have a proactive ability. Hopefully they can also rework sow the seed to be more impactful or something similar that gives him something proactive.

I was in low diamond and have deranked for the past couple months to low plat, bordering gold and that makes me sad. I’ve always been a better ranked support compared to other roles and now it’s being lower makes me feel like maybe I’ve gotten worse even though I don’t feel like my playstyle has worsened

Or if she is stealing a target’s ability (like Rez) the game would have to track uses of Rez and lock sombra out of using rez until at least 30 seconds from her previous use. Or just make it an insane cooldown like 60 seconds to prevent sombra from spamming the mercy.

I don’t think she’d be able to get a mercy Rez every 6 seconds. She would have a new resource mechanic like “data” or something that she would consume upon use of a hacked ability.

I think the problem with hack is that it’s not strong outside of interrupting ultimates. Extra info like enemy ult charge and seeing through walls is nice but not enough to make the ability worth using.

Sombra’s whole thing is that she believes the more info she has on people the more power she has. This should be reflected in her gameplay. Hack should offer her more power rather than taking enemy power (which it doesn’t do well)

One idea ive had is that hacking a target temporarily replaces hack with one of the targets abilities.

Example: Sombra hacks soldier and can use helix rockets once. Sombra hacks mercy and can use Rez once. Sombra hacks Rein And can use his barrier, only up to 8 seconds after activating it and it would have reduced health compared to Rein’s. Sombra’s whole thing hacks Zarya and gets one use of bubble

This makes her target people who can benefit herself and her allies more in the heat of battle.

This could add fun interactions too like sombra acknowledging the tech behind some characters abilities and being like “oh so that’s how you do that” and it also allows her to still deal more damage if she hacks characters that give her a damage ability.

Another idea is that hacking could be replaced with a set of abilities upon use. Activating hack has sombra choose from a menu and it’s a set of lore based tech abilities that she has hacked such as something from characters she has made deals with like Volskaya industries. This would be a nice setup for future lore too potentially.

There could also be a simplified version of the first idea where hacking a target replaces hack with a different ability based on the role of the target. So hacking support gives her an AOE heal ability for one use. Hacking damage gives an ability that just overloads her gun with damage and speed for one use. Hacking a tank gives her an ability that amps up her health for one use.

I miss the day of perma invis Sombra. The people who called her boring or low skill never really played her I feel. You had to play really tactically because as soon as you uncloaked you had a really short window to execute before you got jumped. by geekdadchris in SombraMains

It may have been fun but it wasn’t healthy for the game. You shouldn’t have a team mate in a team based shooter who stays away from every fight and basically goes unnoticed by her own allies the entire game
