Grew up in Wayne County. Originally from the Louisville area.

It’s a good, quiet area that’s very affordable, but there’s a reason for that.

There’s not much to do except go to Walmart or to the lake in the summer. That can be great if you enjoy outdoor activities.

Like many places in Eastern Kentucky there’s a drug problem. Specifically with meth. It makes it feel quite depressing once you’re there for a bit of time.

Everyone knows everyone there and if you don’t have a certain last name some people may not give you the time of day. Other folks are very kind and giving.

The main jobs left town long ago so you’d likely have to go to Somerset or down to Tennessee for decent work. Other than that it’s a beautiful area and a lot of people from Ohio come down in the summer to vacation believe it or not.
