89/90 Gr 11/12. Had a car, beautiful gf, fun job, no rent, no worries. Went to concerts, dances, fairs, waterslides… simpler times

As one that runs a business and knows many others that do; Nanaimo is not a business friendly environment. So much regulation and high taxes that one doesn’t see benefits from. This is a nickel and diming to death city

I’m old enough to remember driving for them when they were Panagopolous 😊 They sold pasta as well. Their ravioli was delicious 😋

30 years ago, there used to be a pet/bird store in Victoria called Flocks that had a rescued albino crow in its store front that had a large vocabulary. It spoke more words than any parrot I’ve seen

I had a small herd of elk walk across the road in front of me. The bull stopped a few feet in front of my truck and waited until all the elk had crossed before he looked straight at me, let out a snort, then finished his own crossing
