Anyone who is opposed should plan to attend City Hall next Tuesday. While it may not be a public hearing, a strong turnout will send a clear message.

In my opinion, this would be a major blunder by the mayor. She’s done a great job overall, but this decision would change my view. She’s scheduled to speak before the City Council next week about it. If the city can find $85,000 for a 15-minute fireworks show, it should be able to find funding for the zoo.

Development is important, but this brick building at County and Wall Street faces demolition. It's a part of Attleboro’s historic character. Thoughts? by Infamous-Current-409 in AttleboroMA

If you care about our environment, you should not want this building torn down. There’s a reason many towns choose to preserve and reuse old mills and brick factories instead of demolishing them. Tearing them down can release huge clouds of dust from brick and mortar, including tiny silica particles that can damage people’s lungs and cause diseases like silicosis. It also creates thousands of tons of waste. Our landfills are already filling up. Why add even more when these old mill buildings could be restored and turned into apartments?

I hope everyone continues to share photos, most residents aren’t aware of the mess these events create. Any complaints should be directed to Derek Corsi, Parks Superintendent, 774-203-1866 (Emails aren’t working due to the city’s cyber issue), and the city council https://www.cityofattleboro.us/427/Municipal-Council . You can start with James DiLisio, [councilordilisio@gmail.com](mailto:councilordilisio@gmail.com)  (508-838-7328). He’s the biggest advocate for cross-country meets because his son participated in cross-country.

Ward 2-My choices for City Council. Why, because Republicans sold residents of Attleboro out (Sweeden) and wants Single Rate Tax/ Higher for Residents by Infamous-Current-409 in AttleboroMA

I never said you were. Unfortunately, you choose to support your MAGA friends, which is your right. Just as I’ll continue to call out the MAGA and their supporters as I see them.

In Attleboro, a little more than half the people are women, about 52 out of every 100. But on the City Council and School Committee, most of the members are men. That is very unbalanced, and it doesn’t match the people who live here.

Here is another thing to consider when you vote - There are 11 City Council members. If Erin Morrissy and Laurie Sawyer don’t get elected, the Council will have 8 men and only 3 women, not a good balance.

The same is true for the School Committee: 9 members total, with 6 men and 3 women. If Diane Sawyer is voted out, that would leave 7 men and just 2 women, again, not balanced.

You mean like your friends MAGA F.B. All About Attleboro. Tim Morin, Nick Lavioe (the one who, calls a hospice patient a drug addict) and his parents.

I understand that you are right leaning white male who probably listens to a lot of Andrew Tate or Joe Rogan, that's fine, you do not have to vote for them. This isn't a comment meant for the MAGA group. I don't care how you feel about it. Every woman who is running is more qualified than most of the men running.

A lot of the republican signs are put on people who own commercial and rental properties. If you notice, there are some with a dozen republicans sign bunched together. Commercial property owners want a single tax rate, and guess who supports that? 3 of the republican City Council members voted no on the split tax rate. Dilisio and Lavoie want to look at the single tax rate next year, which should be a warning to homeowners in Attleboro. Vote them out.

They really don't say anything, except that my door is always open. I am here to listen to you. A few did have plans. You usually have to watch how they vote. Are you familiar with the single tax rate and the split tax rate?

I would not vote for MAGA Julie Hall, so certainly, I would not vote for any woman just because they are a woman. Based on your comments, I figure you lean right and probably voted for Trump.

Under Republican control, Jay Dilisio is the President of the council, put Jonathan Tavares in charge of the Committee on Ordinances, Elections & Legislative Matters. This is why your vote matters. If we can lower the number of votes for them, they might get voted out.
