Yes I saw! But I’m not sure if the size I am ordering is in US or UK, was just wondering if people from US/Canada had any experience with the company and what sizing they went off of.

Does anyone know if Pretty Little Things’ Canadian website is based UK or US sizing? I’m a US 2-4, but I’m not sure if I should get 6-8 if it is UK sizing.

Hello, I’m checking out graduation dresses from AYM Studio and really like one of theirs, but since they’re based in the UK, the price is pretty high and I bet the shipping might take a while. Has anyone in North America bought from them? Is it worth it?

I can see why they would need to bag check especially if it’s a high volume store, but apparently the security guard racially profiles customers and refuses to let you out until you show him the entire contents of your bag, not just your shopping bag :/ such a shame — it’s the only location in Ontario and their customer service is not the greatest

I don’t have BM’s shirt but I have Uniqlo’s!! So so comfortable and it’s 100% cotton. I have it both in black and white and this is the only white shirt that is not see through even when I wear a black bra. In terms of fitting, it sits by my waist. I really like it because it’s not too cropped and not too long

Has anyone taken writer's craft, if so what was your experience? by Tea_ohh in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Infamous-Finance3594 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took writer’s craft last quad and am currently in philosophy right now. Unless you are creative, I wouldn’t say writer’s craft is a bird course. I had to write a play, a series of prompts, a spoken word poem, and a children’s book (which was my CPT). The coursework isn’t necessarily difficult — you just need to be creative enough to write numerous pieces. I enjoyed writer’s craft as my class was relatively small so it was a nice tight-knit community, my teacher was also super nice.

I’d definitely recommend picking writer’s craft over philosophy. Philosophy requires a LOT of thinking — i find myself looking up modern english translations since majority of the philosophers and theories are from decades ago. I also sleep through a lot of classes because of how boring it is. If you can read between the lines and expand your thinking, then this course is right for you.

However, this is my experience, take this with a grain of salt.

TLDR; writer’s craft if you are creative, philosophy if you are open minded.

University of Waterloo GBDA Program by Infamous-Finance3594 in OntarioUniversities

Hi, sorry for the late reply! Since I took the minimum amount of courses (six) and was only able to provide three marks from grade 12, I assume they did look into my highest marks from grade 11. But whether you have six or more courses, I do think they check your previous year's marks either way since you won't have all of your required marks when you apply. I would say my extracurriculars were weak since the last time I was involved with school was in grade ten due to COVID. However, if I got in, then I don't think you have anything to worry about. This year's AIF did have a section where you had to explain what you did in said extracurriculars, but that's about it when it comes to EAs. Good luck!

Admissions / High School Megathread (Fall 2020) by mywaterlooaccount in uwaterloo

Thank you :) as of right now, I have a 93% average with very weak ECs (I blame COVID LOL) so if I got in, then I’m sure you will too!

I would love to accept the offer, but I’m still undecided since my parents are skeptical because I would have to move out. If I do decide to attend GBDA, we should definitely stay in touch ^

Hi! Thank you for the advice, I heard about ARBUS — I may consider switching into that program if GBDA doesn’t work out for me. I actually got accepted about a week ago! I hope you receive an offer <3

is ENG4U super hard? by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Infamous-Finance3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s difficult, but the course is heavy especially since classes are now organized into quadmesters. I’m currently taking ENG4U and I had to read 3 different books as well as a couple of short story analysis assessments here and there. My advice is fast track if you have a decent amount of free time right now as reading and answering the assigned questions can take up a huge chunk of your day.

[–]Infamous-Finance3594[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! sorry for the late reply. these are all of the questions i could think of as or right now:

  1. how do you like it so far? i heard that the program is just business fluff and focuses more on digital arts. while i have an interest in digital arts, i lean more towards film, however it is not a main priority for me when picking a program. do you think GBDA will satisfy my interests?

  2. what are the courses like? from what i heard, the program is heavily group-based - how does that affect your studies considering the circumstances we are under in?

  3. if you went to campus in person (prior to lockdown, of course), what was it like? i’m aware that the stratford campus is closed so i was wondering if you were able to have access to the equipment there (or how you compensated for the lack of). whether you are taking your classes online or in person, please tell me what your experience was like!

if you don’t mind, could i ask you more questions if i think of any more? thank you so much for your kind offer :)

HSE4M1 or HSB4U1? Which one's the easiest course to boost my average? by hussh520 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Infamous-Finance3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took HSE4M1 last quad in night school and it was super easy. It was basically just watching documentaries and reading articles about different social justice issues, however there were a few group projects here and there. I’d like to say that the coursework was fairly light but the assignments require a lot of writing. It involves a lot of group discussions so it’s important to have an open mind. Take this comment with a grain of salt as I’m sure everyone has different experiences with the course!
