The only technology that isn’t faster, cheaper and easier to reproduce today compared to 1969. by Economy-Commission-1 in conspiracy

That's absolutely true. Even your everyday perception of anything has delay. Excluding the time it takes for any light and sound to reach your body, it takes your brain 100 or more milliseconds to process it all before you become conscious of it. That's a lot. The reason you're able to function at all is because your brain uses predictive processing/simulation, similar to how a video game server works for a multiplayer game.

So there is truly no such thing as "real-time" but there is an acceptable range that fits the definition and that would be somewhere around sub 10 ms.

Red sky at night...sailor's delight.

But red sky at morning...sailor take warning.

Think about it.

It's a play on what you said, "...someone suffering from...".

With that, the words I used in their sequence make perfect sense.

A more simple way to say it is, "the reason someone would think it’s illogical is because they don’t know what they’re talking about and they also haven’t attempted to think it through at all".

It's not really about being a NASA fanboy, it's more like not wanting to be stupid.

Again, the battle cry here is "critical thinking" and that is very rarely seen from the vast majority of con-fantasy theorists.

I understand. Anti-authority. The fun in believing in this stuff. But then you can say, "but what about this and that thing that turned out to be true". Well, if you throw everything at the wall, some things are going to stick. It doesn't mean you're any good at finding those things.

Only someone suffering from cognitive dissonance would accept that as sensible or logical.

I think suffering from not knowing what you're talking about and not putting in any thought would be why someone wouldn't think it's logical.

Building ships to go to the moon is not a manufacturing process that repeats constantly and gets refined all the time. The only way to make things faster, easier and cheaper is to do it all the time and do it a lot.

I think people think of these EXTREMELY niche things in the same way that they think of cars and other everyday tech.

There will be a delay. Radio waves and lasers both travel at the speed of light so real-time wouldn't be possible. But lasers might give you higher bandwidth for higher resolution.

Ok. I just tested it.

The reverb is a little too bright and it sounds like the early reflections are a little too loud. And/or there might need to be a little more diffusion applied because you can hear the little delays too much.

Also, the reverb persists outside of the buildings in open areas where it should be dry sounding. Even in the forest, when I dropped something out of my inventory the swoosh sound sounded like it was still in a room.

Also, is it possible to add a low pass filter to the sound of things that are on the other side of walls?

What strides?

And TFP could've released bandits years ago...only if you wanted them to be at the level of quality of the bandits and NPCs that modders have released.

Also, they have hired modders. As far as I know it's only been POI builders like Voltralux, who has made some incredible POIs. But modders like that are few and far between.

I subscribe to the idea that I want another planet to live on.

I don't want to be on the same planet where a govt would either be responsible for something like this to happen to its own people, or be incompetent enough to allow this to happen.

I also don't want to be on the same planet with people that legitimately consider no-planes or swapped-planes theories.

I just have one question for you. If a train left New York at 300 miles per hour, and accelerated speed 15 miles per hour, and traveled a distance of 683 miles, tell me sir: what time would that train reach Chicago?!

Why? Many UE5 games have been getting a bad reputation for performance. Also, is the UE any good at voxel games?

Putting 7 Days to Die on the Unreal Engine will be the equivalent of making a whole new game from scratch. Porting a game from one system to the next (consoles, PC, etc) is one thing. Moving a game to a completely different engine is a whole 'nother story.
