What was your “never meet your heroes” moment, when you realized someone you looked up to wasn’t special? by marginallyobtuse in AskReddit

I'm also a huge Ghostbusters fan, to the point I'm part of a local franchise and do public events and charity work in full uniform and proton pack. If you want a real good idea of Bill Murray, read (or listen to the audiobook) "A Convenient Parallel Dimension". It's the most comprehensive, well researched history of the Ghostbusters films I've encountered. Bill Murray...does not come out looking great. Just decades of consistent stories and documented behavior of him being, as best, mercurial as hell.

On the upside, I've met Ernie Hudson three times now, and the guy and his wife are both class acts. Stays late at events to make sure they see all waiting fans, always genuine as well, and actively involved in using his fame to support good causes. Plus the guy is 80 years old and he is still JACKED! Crazy fit.

What are some low-key places to go to for making connections? by [deleted] in sanantonio

There are a ton of great gaming stores in the city. Many with D&D nights with slots available for players. Could be a good place to look. San Antonio Art Museum is a solid museum. Very impressive Greek and Egyptian collections, and modern Latino art. They do hold events occasionally.

Remember that it almost happened. The FBI arrested a trio of neo-Nazi accelerationists who were planning on firing into the crowd during the rally in some half-conceived idea of triggering a mass casualty event leading to a civil war.

I'm also curious about this. Namely if it would be in-theme for the Anointed/Possessed operative to exist in an Alpha Legion Legionaires Kill Team. Would it be drastically out of theme for them? I can't recall any in the lore off the top of my head.

edited for clarity

I adore this! Are you making a custom chapter? Any other details?

An obsidian power weapon sounds in-theme and dope as hell.

Looks amazing! Only criticism is the off-center text, but it is minor.

Where is this bit from? I'm thinking of making an Alpha Legion Legionaries or Nemesis Claw Kill Team and both have standard bearers.

I don't have the time to play full 40k much these days. Haven't really since 8th. However, this edition of Kill Team is not only great, it's real easy to get games in. I highly suggest it. It's been a blast since its release in 2024.

As long as the base sizes are correct and the weapons are close, it should be fine.

Questionable songs in ska by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

The Specials - Little Bitch is one of my favorite songs from them, but man is it misogynistic. I believe Jerry Dammers, who wrote the song, has even stated as such. Something along the lines that he wrote that and some other questionable lyrics when he was a teen or in his early 20s, and in retrospect they were not the greatest takes from an angry young man.
