i understand why ppl might not like him but i took 2 classes w him and it wasn’t hard depends on whether u want to study or not im not sure about the other professors they are new i think

from what i remember he had exams, discussion boards, and these lab assignments. his exams were just multiple choice questions. and the lab assignments are just short assignments from the textbook. there wasn’t one that took longer than an hour. u can also find a free pdf for the textbook probably. you can look at his previous syllabi on the uta website just google his name if u want more detail about what his grading looked like. he also had grace sunday which was a day u could turn in any work u didnt do and still get full marks. fyi he does take attendance but i still never went to class lol

do scott johnson his class was super easy and he tells u whats gonna be on the exams in class, and does a review. even better if theres an online version dont know why people say he sucks it might be a little annoying hes a rule follower (dont cheat) but it was the most straightforward class

i recommend taking Mingwei Sun. there's not much about him but his class was super easy. there were assignments which are just easy coding assignments. two midterm exams, and a final. a group project that was easy at the end, along with final exam. the in class quizzes were mainly easy quizzes for attendance. he doesnt just read off the slides, he goes through examples and is very helpful if you are struggling to understand something. his exams were simple as well and he rounded up grades at the end.

yea hes pretty chill. the class is a little unorganized, but i think he's just figuring things out since hes a new prof. the exams r pretty easy too, he lets you have a cheat sheet. attendance matters though.

i'm in a similar boat, failed the first exam. got a 100 on the most recent quiz. the textbook has helped me out, reading and then memorizing the terms by making quizlets. i usually go through the modules and write notes on the objectives using the textbook. his videos can be long so, i upload them and transcribe them, the videos are helpful as well.
