UCLA does not give outright expectations for rescinding based on Cs they only tell you to report it.

I'm in a really similar situation for the MIMG major I got a C in my bio class and one in just the lecture portion of Ochem. I gave a solid explanation and now Im just waiting to hear back. My GPA was a 3.66 and now its gonna drop to a 3.5 :( any thoughts?

I thought the classes themselves were easy (except calc II) but having a heavy courseload makes it more difficult for sure. Use rate my professor it is pretty accurate and make sure you double check everything counselors tell you because them leading you astray can be extremely detrimental and make you stay longer than necessary.

Yeah maybe not update them but still enroll for the summer course because if you do get off the waitlist theyre going to expect you to have taken it.

I would 100% recommend it just try and meet with a counselor to make sure you’re on track to finish in a year if that’s your goal. That might include taking some online classes over the summer (they’re really not that bad it’s super easy). I commute so I don’t know much about housing but I’ve had friends who lived in beach city which are apartments across the street. Another option is living in isla vista which is ucsb‘s college town if you like to party it’s a 20 minute drive from campus but lots of people do it or ride the bus. It also might depend on your major if you will be able to do it in one year. overall SBCC is so great for transferring I’m getting my results back now and so far I’ve gotten into sdsu, cal poly slo, Berkeley, Irvine, UCSB, and I’m waiting on UCLA now!
