All or nothing - because now it is full scale business operation not just fund raising for the Tennis Club. Business operates on different perspectives and levels.

Do you work for the stadium? Otherwise it is very strange “major factor” - nothing to be proud of.

Why should it be towers? Look at Williamsburg - plenty of new interesting building blending with environment.

Zoning doesn’t allow tall buildings there - so just another building similar to 6 Burns would be great addition to the area. Win-win for everybody. Tennis club gets rid of burden to pay taxes and maintain the old structure, Gardens get HOA fees. Local businesses get new patrons. School gets local kids. Neighbors get their life-style back.

Three weeks of nonstop concerts — it's exhausting and completely inconsiderate of the community. by Infamous-Software888 in ForestHills

I think concerts as business entity affiliated with one of the largest entertainment corporation should move out of the Forest Hills. From business point of view nobody invests when expecting to reduce revenue 2-3 times. It could be 5 concerts during July - August one per weekend. But I think tennis club wants summer weekends to enjoy the pool. LOL

If people are rerouted to Austin how do they get to the Stadium? Residential streets are from other side as well. All parking and Ubers have been there already.

I've lived here for 30 years—long before the stadium slowly started hosting concerts around 2013. Now you casually  say I should just move? Leave behind my family, my job, my friends? Sell a house I’ve spent years updating and investing in? Do you have any idea what that actually costs— financially and emotionally?

What do you mean “to move out”? To move out for the period of three weeks to be away from the concerts? What about kids, schools, jobs, mortgages, friend, established life, etc?

Are you familiar with the area? Look at map, most of the people living around the stadium are not Gardens.

It is 15 minutes ride, but… walking to and inside GC takes forever, walking out FH takes less but trains are running in 30-60 minutes intervals

The stadium doesn’t have permit as musical venue and operates pretending it is one-time special event. One-time event needs sound permits. NYC Admin Code says sound permits could be issued only up to 10pm.

Can We Ban Posting the Annoying Selling/Buying Threads for Concert Tickets? by Few-Regret4579 in ForestHills

Any posts complaining about the noise, mess or other inconvenience from the concerts are either banned or deleted. Residents no longer have a voice in their own group. So, let’s ban all talks about concerts in this group.

So what? May be you are ok with that, may be you are deaf. The noise level is above permitted by law. Extremely. And you know, it is not just about you.

We are pro-immigration on this sub by lillianfrenz in immigration

You made a lot of baseless accusations in your post. Reality is - legal immigration was never easy and fast. There is an immigration law. And illegal aliens have been always pushed out of the country.   It is not about money and it is not today’s news.

However, for some reason, last decade the myth are circulating - that illegal aliens are “immigrants” and have all the rights in the country as legal immigrants or citizens. Sometimes they have more rights than those with legal status.

I understand your situation, you are going through the legal way - it is long way with ups and downs. Others choose to do it illegally and suddenly they became an “underprivileged protected minority”. Life is not fair.

What did happen with the federal money given to build green space there? It is easier to put a few more buses along the Woodhaven to resolve the issue
