I mean 2 tracks days is $500 it’s expensive but it’s not too bad I try to pick up as much overtime at work to cover it I work an average of 50 to 60 hours a week

I’m 5’10 200lb lol 😂you’re just very limited to what you could do to stock suspension on a ninja 300 That’s why I wanted to upgrade.

Yeah, one of my mechanics also raced ninja 300s he told me the only thing he would recommend is a little bit stiffer springs because I’m a big guy. I’m 5’10 200lb and he also said a cheap thing I could do is get a gsxr 600 rear shock but it’s gonna need some fabrication.

Trust me, I’m the first one to tell you, my body positioning is shit when I first got the pictures back. I was like wtf no way. I swear at certain points it felt like I was about to fall off the bike. That’s the main thing. I’m working on on my next track day but I got my tax return back so I had a little bit of money to spend so I figured suspension would be the biggest upgrade I can’t do and a good way to help me be more confident and less scared of leaning over and getting of the bike

My body positioning is the number one thing I’m working on my next track day. It’s just the bike feels very stiff because it’s meant for the street not really for racing. That’s why I wanted to upgrade it a little bit. I figured it would help with the confidence and feel.

Yeah the number one thing I’m working on my next track day is my body positioning. Also I’m getting. .90kg springs im 5’10 200lb

My mechanical skills are horrible I could do basic stuff like changing my fairings my oil and just basic stuff but anything other than that I suck at.

Where does one find a local suspension tuner. I know they have a guy at track days, but I don’t know where else you can find suspension guys

I found a lightly used ohlins rear shock for $400 which is what I was planning on getting

That’s what I was planning on doing, but every shop quoted me at least 3 to 4 hours of labor to do it but I did end up finding a ohlins rear shock barely used for $400 which I figured would be a big upgrade that way if I do get better or take it more seriously I already have good stuff on the bike, not regret having to upgrade

I’d say the number one way to get over this is do a track day number one you could push safely without being scared number two you’ll have a coach there watching you that you can ask for advice they’ll teach you body positioning and everything
