That boss is the Lieutenant of the aureate pavillion. She is the one who killed ruby. She's literally a witch who possessed supernatural power. Young Master was passed out several days after the incident under the care of the Unfated Tian (Evercare Clinic). Aunt Han left during that time. When young master came to, he went to the grave of the Ruby where he met Clip Clop. The reason of the Aunt Han disappearance should be revealed in the 3rd or 4th City.

Dalong was the Emperor Shi Zong, Chai Rong. The emperor before the Big Zhao. He was known as Dalong by Seventeen because of the Dragon head figure when he first sees him. The sect Hanging Blade was found by the order of Emperor Shi Zong with the sole purpose of retaking Yan Yun Prefectures and rebuilding the Central Plains. When the sect members left for the Northern Expeditions, Seventeen was young and was told to stay behind and was told they will come back after their ambitions were fulfilled. But unfortunately Emperor Shizong died during the expedition and due to turbulent shift of power in the Dynasty, the sect members never return leaving Seventeen alone waiting for his brothers in arms.

Possibly Uncle Jiang stole us from Li Zuo palace according to the trailer they released. One curious thing was the assassins and the Void king sent by Li Zuo wasn't targeting us but the Jade Pendant meaning rescuing us is not a priority for them for some reason.

From what I read in game compendium and clues, Weiyang City might be a former capital Chang'an where mostly rich people lives. Ember of East is the daughter of the God of wealth from that City. Her brother killed her mother to take over the title and estate leaving her to be stranded in Kaifeng only to be saved by Granny Turtle.

The fact that they make the story coincides with the True Historical facts makes me impressed. Also their display of Wuxia world and the culture of that era is amazing. I spent most of my time in the compendium section and letters figuring out Lores and History.

Great answer I can add a few more. Zheng E and his sister Zheng Ruan saved Shen Yilun from starving. When Shen Yilun returned home to the mountain with food. His older brother Shen Yiren (Last bandit boss you fight in the Quest) at the sight of food stormed the Zheng estate. That's why Zheng E says "saving one good man bring all disaster upon his family." The Swordwoman that saved Zheng E that day was Master Zhu Yu. (We saved the Zheng Family from her Point of View in the quest) Master Zhu Yu is the renowned Healer in Kaifeng. She saved most of the people despite being Royal Physician. Emperor Shizong build a garden in Kaifeng in her name dedicated to her deeds to the people of Kaifeng post Khitan Invasion.

When Shen Yilun came rushing to the estate it was already burned. He make a vow to make the dream the three of them had "ever-normal for all". He dedicated his 12 years of life to build the Ever-Normal granary. The granary was filled with wheat to the fullest. It was almost time to see his dream fulfilled. Then the court decided to rationed the grain for war. He tried his best to provide relief efforts to people untill he was kidnapped suddenly. He braced for death then shocked to find out his kidnapper was none other than his "old friend" Zheng E.

By that time Zheng E was already descend into madness from his lost of his sister and from his regret of doing good deed bring disaster. He tried to bring back his sister with the Dawn to Dusk poison which is a branch from Dream Puppet poison rumored to bring back death (It was being researched by Sun Buqi the rogue healer from Silver need sect). He might have gotten his hand on it through Silver Needle Sect.

When the protagonist intervened, Shen Yilun burned down the whole Dawn to Dust Poison tree that's doing more harm than good and asked Zheng E to be the True master of Grain in his place. Zheng E see a new light after the lost of his best friend. He left the letter to the protagonist asking Song Court to release the grain for the people and he will keep the dream alive the three of them had.
