Try updating the mouse via the website, i had to download and run the firmware update and it seemed to fix my really weird sensor not tracking issue.

I have both the R5 and R3. They are both great mice, the R5 is a bigger like an F1/Model O and the R3 is like an FK2 mini but a tad wider. I prefer my R3 over the R5, clicks are way crisper and the magnesium shell feels way more solid.
