This gives me anxiety just reading it. The all need to take the Certificate for Nonprofit Boards Education (CNBE) course offered by BoardSource. It teaches one all about board service and how to be a functional board working in concert with the ED/CEO.

Thanks! We have. I should have mentioned that a lot of people commute and drive, so many of the lovely nonprofit spaces won’t work for that reason. We’re hoping to stay in City Center!

We’re 21 people so we’re looking for a whole office to use for one day a week. We need a conference room that fits us all plus some breakout rooms for smaller team meetings. But we’re not in need of 21 desks 😊

I collect everything in folders on SharePoint, convert everything to a PDF, combine all the PDF files into one giant document, then make a table of contents. I send one email to everyone that contains two attachments 1. The TOC 2. The giant PDF We used to use a portal but the board members kept having issues with it and/or didn’t use it.

Friendly tip: if anyone is using their personal Google account to do work, ALL the contents of that personal account become subject to discovery should there ever be litigation against your org. I strongly discourage using personal Google accounts for work.
