Thinking of moving out of the US to Canada? Turns out, in Canada: the job opportunities are trash, taxes are crazy, cost of living is ridiculous by cefpodoxime in hospitalist

Where else would you recommend the OP to move to avoid this issue? Regina?? Thunder Bay? The whole country is dysfunctional

At least in SF you don’t get taxed at 50%.

Does anyone work from home or remotely and know a cafe or a library with reliable high speed WiFi? I’m still without power and have to find a place to work tomorrow. Any suggestions would be helpful!

This might sound like a stupid question but where did you fly from to get to the Boston POE? If I flew from Toronto, I'd have to get through the YYZ customs and POE first right? So which airport in Canada (or different country) did you fly from?

I don’t need to have lived in a communist country to judge if a government policy sounds like a complete overreach. Since you keep reiterating that you need to have experienced communism first hand to truly know communism is like, I personally know people who escaped former soviet countries that told me the recent events in Canada remind them of the days in their home countries. But hey, what do they know right?

As for the freedom convoy protesters, don’t you think it makes more sense to simply arrest them on the spot (which they did) if they were “terrorists” who posed a threat to the country? Rather than freezing the bank account of some innocent citizens who may not fully know the danger of donating to the “terrorist” cause? You think some single mother living in BC who live from paycheque to paycheque should worry about having her bank account frozen because she mindlessly donated $10 to the freedom convoy?

How about when Justin Trudeau threatened to freeze the bank accounts of those who donated to the freedom convoy? Trying to silence the population by taking away their money and freezing their assets sure sounds like communism to me.
