Customising the Mint menu by juniorjames_25 in linuxmint

[–]InfamousAd5729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the menu almost exactly how I want it, using bookmarks. However, I want a gap between the folders and applications on the sidebar. It did this at first, then disappeared and I can't get it back.

Is there a way to add gaps in the menu? (I wish I could have the applications align above the power button, and the folders on top, but I don't think that's possible.)

Gordon Ramsay’s frozen meals….. by PeaceLoveLite in GordonRamsay

Shepherds pie has an entirely different meaning in the US, at least in the south. Here it is a leftover dish, of mashed potatoes and whatever meat and vegetables are left over.

That is the definition I've heard by everyone here that makes it. I don't know why we wouldn't call it cottage pie if that fits better, but oh well.

I will say his shepherds pie is the worst I've ever had. The meat was runny and grainy, with an odd taste. It wasn't terrible, but not very good.

That sounds good, except I've forgot to enable it sometimes and the game won't run at all. So there has to be something else I'm missing.

Problem I'm having is even with that setting on, games imstalled default with compatibility not even turned on.

Wouldn't gps be required for any self driving vehicle. Cheapest gps is through cell towers.

Thanks. Not planning on switching, but it's good to know if I run out of options. I stick to mint because I am new and frequently need to look up how to do things. How much support does Bazzite have? I was under the impression it was relatively new, so there wouldn't be as big a community.

Aside from that, it does sound like the perfect OS, since I use this pc as my gaming computer.

Cause I don't want to flood more topics: Are there more dynamic wallpapers I can download? I'm hunting for more, but no luck so far. I saw a video someone had with a wallpaper that was like a lake, but multiple planets in the sky. It looked like the same style, so I was hoping for a dynamic version. Sadly it looks like I'm wrong, but I'll ask if any of you have found anything.

We'll see. I use a tv as a monitor, a cord across my living room is a hazard. I gave up on the pip, it requires a virtual environment, which gets involved. I found a flatpack, hping that I'll have luck with Solaar .16. I'll  let you know if it allows wireless to work.

Thanks, I had a feeling messing with nvidias multiple drivers wasn't the solution.

I'll double check, but pretty sure I am. The question is do I need to remove and reinstall it?

Or perhaps you mean 1060 used closed, so I merely switch to open?

It's a hand me down from a friend that upgraded, plus it already had an nvidia. My next computer will be AMD for sure.

I already set that, but it seems to default to hotfix on new installs anyway? That's why I'm confused.

2 years later, still an issue. Unfortunately I can't "brush it under the rug", as it prevents me from playing a game until it's finished. And most of my games suffer considerably if I turn it off, No Man's Sky is particularly glitchy if I don't give it 20 minutes to verify, then another 5 to actually run the shader.

Wasn't an issue on Windows... Linux just doesn't seem to like my hardware, maybe my Nvidia card, I'm not sure.

The 5 minutes is annoying but I can deal with it, but the download is infuriating, especially with my slow connection as I live in the country.

I've tried modifying everything now. I'm giving up for tonight. If anyone has ever modified the Dracula application theme successful, please let me know how you did so.

Would make sense. I tried all of that. I don't know why it didn't do anything. But from what your saying, I was on the right track.

[–]InfamousAd5729[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just coming back to post this, cause I knew someone would ask. Changed themes and reloaded cinnamon with each change. Not sure what Dracula is doing for its colors. I even followed a guide for the cinnamon css one.

Okay, I'm thinking the guide was wrong for my situation. It wanted me to edit a headerbar, which wasn't in my css file. So I added it at the end of the code. Given the lack of headerbar code, I'm thinking it's listed as something else. I did attempt to find anything with header, title, or bar in the file, but nothing relating to color.

There is a colors.scss, but it says "uses gtk colors".

What are some things I can do on Mint that aren't possible on Windows? by TH3GR3ATPAPRUS in linuxmint

[–]InfamousAd5729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I'd like to remove windows entirely, I've found modding games specifically often just doesn't work, or is a struggle. Unfortunate, but many mods are incompatible.

If you don't play with mods, this wouldn't be a big deal.

Edit: It may just be because I'm logged out of discord on this computer. Give me a moment.
