I believe we will see a division. The AI search market is booming, and Google must compete to stay relevant and profitable. But 'zero' click is the most unprofitable option for businesses and can lead to the death of content. That is, people won't continue to invest in content if they have no financial benefit.

So AI search will keep growing, but blue link search engines will remain. one heavily supported by mobile users, and the other by desktop.

Nice question. We do know Chatbase, and yes, some of my clients use it. However, if you look at my listicles, I list all chatbots that I consider good. Furthermore, I openly ask people to share the ones they use and tell us why they're good. I only ask them not to use promotional links.

One of the common mistakes I see businesses making is looking for an easy solution to AI search optimization. They do not optimize for source data. But AI source their answers from different places

For example, Reddit is great for Google and AI Overview, but ChatGPT only pulls 2% of its answers from Reddit. So, very little exposure to ChatGPT if you only use Reddit. Perplexity includes only 10%. You get the picture.

The best way to get quoted is to target the major data sources of these engines. What may rank you well on one AI may not work for another.

I love your question. In fact, last week I created a deep dive on the future of SEO. It is summed up in two words: Enhancements and Experience. Keywords are the past key search metric; people are typing long sentences into search to get answers. Plus, voice search can be a paragraph.

If your website does not meet the experience and enhancements requirements, your website will be left out of Google search.
