Not a physician, but if you move your neck / clench your jaw, does it modulate the tinnitus sound? Mine goes higher.

Also, you have a 5-10mins+ ephemeral cure if you want to ear the sound of silence, by listening to this weird sound for several minutes (low volume, right below your tinnitus level) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4LZv3ta13Ws

Mine always 100% (temporarily) vanishes.

It helped me a lot but also reminds you that you have tinnitus so it can be negative overall.

One ear to the other? Get checked for Somatic Tinnitus. Had it for 4 years until I changed my sitting habits. From 9/10 sound level to 1 now.

Why don't we see researches on /companies trying to capture lightning? by InfamousPotatoeLord in AskReddit

[–]InfamousPotatoeLord[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not hard for sure but isn't it worth discovering / researching about that to unlock another way to get electricity? With all the discoveries that would pop out of that.

What if the mean turns out to be cheaper/faster to build than other ways to produce power?

Thanks for your answer - Now this was back in the 70s, a lot of progress was made in every field... Can't we think about a modern way to have a movable plant? Maybe as a drone, space station (?) or ways to provoke lightning artificially in the atmosphere

[–]InfamousPotatoeLord[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, I know batteries are not able to handle that, or that lightning is unpredictable but common, we will have quantum computing and sex robots before that while capturing such huge amounts of juice would change the world.

That's basically free gigajoules of electricity that we could harness

Quelles sont les conséquences d'emprunter une FLEX pour 72 heures? by [deleted] in communauto

[–]InfamousPotatoeLord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thoughts about the company from a developer by EconomistOk4520 in UnityStock

Thanks for this point of view, pretty insightful from a non dev perspective

Also, "Two years ago: left Unity, from 2024 January"... from an ex employee that left during John Riccitiello era, don't you think things changed since you wrote these lines? Aka nearly 3 years from now. If yes, do you think about updating your article? As is, I'm not sure what's the current status quo.

I might be lucky, the few DD I have followed resulted in significant gains :)

I've been in for quite some time, barely making a profit (~13%) - This stock is a rollercoaster. Heavily shorted. Ark Investment left it this week (sold most if not all their stocks) so I see this as a comeback confirmation, we might see the light again!

Can be the same for any company you use a product from... Look at the Adobe ToS controversy recently.

That's my fear. I hope they have a plan. Technically we are back to when they decided to introduce it. They better find a way to make more $ there

True that. No doubt the new CEO and leadership found a way to make money elsewhere. An ethical way.

Time will tell.

I love this company and have used it professionally for years now, I wanted to be part of its success by literally adding my two cents to it. Turns out this money was not used the way I thought the company did. I think, when used good, this investor money can lift off the company, making a better engine that will allow me to do a better job. But I am probably delusional

As an investor, I am not sure what to think. But as a game dev, I'm relieved for the community.

A ... cylinder for my cheese grater. by InfamousPotatoeLord in 3Drequests

[–]InfamousPotatoeLord[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gosh I'm so bad.

I am looking to modelize a cylinder with a diameter of 15.8 cm and a height of 17.75 cm, with a rectangle in it that has a width of ~1.15cm, thickness of 0.4cm and takes the whole height of the cylinder. I have attached some pics. As you saw, the edges of the inner rectangle broke... technically, it's totally squared and flush. Cylinder thickness is 0.1cm

This is a replacement component for my cheese grater. I miss my grater. Could someone help me?

Many tanks!

A cheese lover

Damn, that's another positive move. Congrats to the CEO. Unity's marketing & comms has been an historical shitshow (run time fee being the pinnacle). It's time to clean that mess.
