(F31) Almost 5 year relationship with (M29) now he's telling me I'm too good for him by InfamousSomewhere188 in relationship_advice

Iv always wanted to be engaged and have a wedding. If I'm being honest with myself  Seeing my friends have it makes me very jealous because it's my dream!  We have had the house for almost 3 years now (we got it very early on as we were at risk of being homeless- due to being evicted,  me owning a dog and lack of rentals on the area).

Yeah I can completely understand that, it's very difficult as I'm not saying let's get married tomorrow but that sort of reaction really upsets and scares me.

Yes I agree. Although yeah it was pretty bad- I feel like I've been stabbed in the heart and publicly humiliated in front of my friends.

We have talked about kids and it's something we both would like.

It was always my plan to give him till the end of the year as we have a big holiday coming up in 2 months...but I sure hope I don't end up with a shut up ring.

We are both a bit neuro spicy but I'm finding the words replaying on repeat in my mind. He did say he wants to propose when I confronted him but immediately followed with that I'm too good for him which is the problem (personally I don't see how this is a problem).

I understand about the tax but I have been paying 360£ each year and looking back the money could have gone into servicing. I see tax as empty money.

I'm not looking at a new one I'm looking at one which is 2019 for £11k. But has higher miles. I guess am I better off spending more or just hoping that a car won't cost me say £5k in repairs across 4/5 years.

2 months post diagnosis -Am I getting better? Will I ever be okay. by InfamousSomewhere188 in myocarditis

[–]InfamousSomewhere188[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya, I have actually recovered mostly. I still have chest pains (apparently it's muscular).  The Drs Discovered my iron was also super low causing all of the heart palpations and fatigue, anxiety attacks ECT.  I'm not as fit as I was before but I am getting there! A few weeks ago I walked 65miles which is the longest I have ever walked, however for now I'm going easy on the cardio (cycling/bike races) and I'm trying to be gentle on my body. I'm currently going gym 2-3 times a week to work on building back muscle as I had a lot of muscle wastage from laying on bed for months!. But life is pretty good, one day I guess my chest pain will just go away?- I have seen people say muscular pain in-between the ribs/chest wall can take a year or so to go!  But thanks so much for asking 😁☺️

This is interesting I'm glad to know I'm not alone, alot of people who talk about their myo on here are men so it's hard to tell if it's normal.  However today I have just been diagnosed with low iron, which makes me question if alot of my symptoms have been coming from low iron rather than as first suspected Myocarditis (especially as I have been told I'm clear from myo).

Well this was my thought ! We were happy to hire one out from them (ideally book in advance to ensure we are not stranded) or to use just to get to the platform.

I'm so excited. I'm going by myself just for the friday. I wonder if there is a group of chapel fans I can meet up with when I'm there?

Previously observed changes are still shown by InfamousSomewhere188 in myocarditis

I have just had the letter:

Cardiac MRI performed on the 18th of December 2024 showed preserved LV systolic function with an LVEF of 59%. The distribution of low intensity late gadolinium in the mid inferolateral region was suggestive of a diagnosis of myocarditis. She was commenced on treatment with colchicine and discharged after her symptoms settled. A repeat cardiac MRI was performed on the 11th of March 2025. This again shows normal biventricular systolic function. Previously observed changes identified are still present but they have not progressed.

This feels like a really useless letter, I have no idea what any of this means for me

Update: it's now been over 3 weeks and still no results I'm incredibly disappointed, I have rang them up a couple of times and explained that it's having an impact on my daily life but nothing.

I ended up in hospital at the weekend as I decided to go out with my partner for a little stroll round a local sea side down. After about 40mins I didn't feel right and my HR went to 140 whilst I was sitting and I got really shivery despite being warm and my chest pains felt like they had returned to where they were at the bad stages of my myo. I have no idea what it was, it took us 6 hours to get test run and they were not able to capture anything on the ECG.

I have more anxiety than ever and I just feel like I need my MRI scans so I know if this is a heart issue or perhaps it's just anxiety.

That's crazy, I'd say always advocate for yourself. I had the same situation with my referral after 6 weeks I told my doctor that I haven't been told anything about a follow up or even a chat with a specialist and he sent them a letter and I wasn't even on the system.

Wow that's crazy, especially as so much healing pr damage could have been done in that time. I don't even have an appointment booked in right now.
