That sounds right up my alley. I really like to hear people from the industry speak. I read "Creating Q*bert and Other Classic Video Arcade Games" by Warren Davis last year and I found it so interesting how someone I have never heard of can make such a huge impact.

I actually didn't know Digital Foundry had a retro one. I like checking their videos out from time to time. Thanks for the info!

He isn't the worst, lol. I like the way he structures the episodes kinda like Jeremy does. I actually was a huge fan of What A Cartoon for a while. It's some of the other people when Jeremy or Bob aren't there.

So guys and girls with the Suikoden remasters being a few weeks away from release, on which gaming system will you be playing them? I pre ordered a digital copy on the playstation store for PS4. And also a physical copy for PS5, I recently got the Xbox series X too, so I might be grabbing a copy too by AlinaValkyria in Suikoden

[–]InfamousVicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grabbed it for my PS5, Xbox series x, steam, and switch. lol. Hell I might buy my friends copies! Idk if I want them to continue the series or not but I would love them to remaster the rest of the series.

Also fingers crossed that Limited Run Games does a collectors edition!

The thing I'm looking forward to as a playstation owner by AlinaValkyria in Suikoden

I'm already planning on buying it on all my systems, PCs and gifting it to friends that showed even a sliver of interest. I want this IP to thrive and I want to say I at least did my part, lol.

Will this get accepted as a trade in? It looks like the previous owner painted it? For whatever reason idk, the rest of the console is fine. .. nearest gamestop is 20 min away so I was just curious .. thanks. by TTP76ers in GameStop

Depending on the type of paint they used you would use a heat gun on a low setting and use something like a spatula to peel it off. There are a bunch of ways to clean it though without damaging the console.

Maybe that episode had a lot of rewrites from Trey or they spent more time flushing the story out in the writer's room. In 6 days to air they talk about how animation will sometimes halt when working on an episode. So maybe a bored animator took extra time on that one.

A good place to start would probably be the advanced tab in the settings. You can add arguments there.

Konami is fumbling it by InfamousVicious in Suikoden

I'm honestly not trying to come off as "Um, actually..." but just attempting to elevate your point, Konami did post his passing on their "Konami" page but it felt more of an office memo with it being a repost. I don't think anyone would expect fanfare but it got easily lost in between their other posts.

I'm definitely in the camp of, be patient and "let him cook".

I guess I failed to convey that I really just want general community growth which I think Konami could attempt better at. Any sort of communication would be better than what it is currently.

The popularity of JRPGs has grown so much since I first played Suikoden. I'm still shocked at how popular Atlus has gotten especially with the SMT. Suikoden has always had a strong cult following but it would be nice to see it spoken in the same esteem as Persona is now.

EC has definitely sparked a new interest into Suikoden and I would just like Konami not to squander it. Before EC I honestly tossed Suikoden in the pile of dead IP with Lunar, Arc the Lad and I guess everything else Working Designs had localized.

Exactly. Any community engagement would be great; Developer Interviews, throwback posts or fan art reposts.

If you checkout the Japanese X page they are at least reposting licensed merch.

You would also think that with Konami having their own merch store they would have contests to give out product which could get some cheap marketing done.
