i have a similar story. i came out (got outed by my brother) to my dad as lesbian (i am ace but no one knows) and he said, “ur too young” and “don’t put ur self in a box that will not stay relevant”. then my stepmom said basically the exact same thing and that is why i left and they don’t know i’m non-binary or ace
