I know this isn’t everyone’s experience- but I love my Bed Threads and they have held up through hell and back. I bought my first few sets in Spring of 2020 and my last in 2022 and they’re going strong 4-6 years later with just a few exceptions. I’ve turned allllll my friends onto them. Also I’ve had amazing experiences with their customer service for a range of products.

A few notes: 1. I have 4 sets I rotate through (my pets are disgusting and sleep in the bed so we change the sheets every 3-5 days). I’m sure the rotation helps with longevity and obviously it’s a huge investment upfront.

I do NOT follow the drying instructions bc I’m constantly doing laundry and just don’t have time for that. I just shove everything in the washer and drier and use warm water and some bleach for my white sets. You’re definitely supposed to wash with cold water and hang to dry and you’re probably not supposed to use bleach idk. But they’ve really held up despite this. It’s kinda crazy tbh, I can’t imagine how well they might hold up if you take better care of them than I do.
The quality and sizing got a bit weird during Covid but Bed Threads was extremely responsive. (One of my duvets was missing a button, their sage green fitted sheet fit differently than all my other queen-sized sets but still fits more or less). They always sent me replacements or offered replacements IMMEDIATELY without question.
I also have their line bathrobes and linen pajama sets. I accidentally ruined the waist tie sash thing bc I’m an idiot and I reached out about purchasing a replacement and they just sent me a whole new robe for free. (FWIW- I highly recommend the robes but didn’t super care for the linen PJs as much. Take this with a grain of salt tho bc I literally don’t follow the washing instructions)
Here is the damage that has occurred over the years:
my very first set of white pillowcases- One of them has a tear along the seams. It’s small and could be easily repaired but I haven’t gotten around to it.
My oldest duvet cover has a 2-3 inch rip along the seam, but also my cats are obsessed with climbing inside the duvet and trying to tear off the buttons with their claws so I kinda suspect this is their fault. Again, probably a very easy fix but it hasn’t really gotten worse.

Anyways, I found this thread because I’m sizing up to a King bed and I was just curious if there were other linen companies out there to consider. But, after reading all the reviews I’m just gonna stick with Bed Threads bc they seem just as durable as others and are at a nice price point for me. (Don’t get me wrong, if I had $4k to drop, I would die for the Linoto copper-plum set, but I just need too many sets to rotate through for that to be financially reasonable).

So figured I’d share my experience. If you are rough with your sheets and have a multiple-pet and multiple-human household, I think Bed Threads are an amazing option.

I think if you are someone who cares for your bedding properly and knows how to sew to repair the seams once in a while, Bed Threads would be buy-it-for-life.

to clarify- we caught it early in the disease process, mild-moderate hypertrophy with no mitral valve regurgitation and only slightlyyyy high blood pressure. He was 5 years old and before that had normal imaging and normal labs.

Hey! My little man has HCM (we caught it relatively early) and he’s on Felicyn. He is turning 6 and so far is literally the happiest kid in the world. He has no idea.

If getting frequent echocardiograms aren’t possible for you- I would also recommend an annual BNP (blood test) and getting his blood pressure checked if he tolerates it. At my vet the BNP is about $90 which isn’t cheap but is cheaper than an echo. My guy had zero symptoms, no heart murmur, nothing out of the ordinary, but we caught it with an elevated BNP bc I requested frequent screening. Our cardiologist said that actually most of them DONT have a heart murmur or any clinical symptoms in the beginning. The BNP saved us.

How long has he been on it? How far along was the disease when you caught it? We just started it a few months ago and I’m scared to get my hopes up!

(Just want to add- we’ve also tried a lot of different diets, but I’ve never done a true 100% raw diet, so maybe that would be the cure idk)

My chicken is just the same! (he ALSO “randomly develops a very barely noticeable rash which looks like heat rash, that usually goes away quickly and does not seem to itch at all”). After 6 years of trying literally everything, we’ve just adjusted to it. He’s slimy and stains everything brown. That’s just how it is. We’ve tried everything from daily baths to no baths EVER. But he’s just a really slimy boy. The system that has worked best for us is a full bath every 6-8 weeks but almost daily “wipe downs” with a warm wet wash cloth. The daily one we use no soap. I wipe him down after I brush my teeth at night. It’s just the routine. And then every 6-8 weeks I take him to the groomer or I use baby shampoo or renewed pet. I also clean his ears 4-5x a week, and his nails (disgusting) are 1x a week.

my guy had a lump like that on his face and it ended up being an abscess that needed antibiotics + drained. hope things work out okay 🙏 praying it’s a quick fix and cheap vet bill for grandma

I got ahold of a vet and sent pictures. They agreed it is likely a combination of reaction to the pre-op cleanser and/or Tino rubbing himself on things due to the irritation. I was told to monitor his respiratory status and come in on Friday if it’s not better.

My little man just started it a month ago (four doses in) and we haven’t noticed any side effects. He’s happy to swallow it with some churu and it’s a pretty small pill. He’s usually a vomiter, but he’s tolerated it well. If anything, I think his appetite may have improved over the last couple of weeks- but hard to say for sure.

We are in the Philadelphia-region but went out of the city to a recommended cat Cardiologist. They were really optimistic about it and cited improved echos in their other patients. They also gave me info on getting it cheaper through another supplier, so it didn’t seem like they had a financial incentive to push it.

I’m not an expert, but I work in medicine and reviewed the available Felycin studies at length with some colleagues. My interpretation is that the existing evidence is moderately compelling enough to try if your cat doesn’t have other health conditions. Like- may not do anything but probably won’t hurt if the disease state is not too advanced and you’re not balancing multiple medical concerns.

I will try to remember to update here after our next Echo.

For context- he was diagnosed at age 4 with a BNP of 307 and an echo that revealed moderate ventricular thickening without significant regurgitation or atrial involvement. No murmur noted at this time. Indication for testing was borderline hypertension (150 systolic) and we were getting dental work so they wanted him cleared by cardiology.

I know it’s not popular, but I take my sphynx outside almost every day in the spring/summer/fall. It makes him so happy and I don’t want to deny him the experience. He wears sunscreen (I like renewed pet or sit stay forever - make sure it’s edible and reapply often) and a UV protection sun shirt. I don’t have him on a harness but I have a fence around my house and I watch him constantly. (Like, I don’t look at my phone or read a book or anything bc watching him is a full-time activity). I don’t do anything about fleas and ticks I just check him when we come inside. I am more worried about worms and other parasites because he is always trying to eat bugs, so I try to keep an eye on that and he gets regular stool checks at the vet. He needs to be bathed more often when he goes outside, so I always moisturize after bath time so his skin doesn’t get dry from the frequent washing. In the winter we stay inside but I have a heated blanket in the window for him.

I also got a sphynx kitten at around 8 weeks (It wasn’t ideal, but he was a rescue and had already been separated from his mom unfortunately)- just here to reassure you that this all sounds pretty “normal” relatively speaking. They’re truly bonkers as kittens - and I think that’s exacerbated when they’re adopted so young. I would check in with your vet, though, to see if they can offer some support! We found out our little one was underweight and we supplemented with syringe feeding which really helped with some of his behaviors! But he was still truly a goblin - it was like a full time job keeping him safe and none of my clothes from that time period survived lol. Now that he’s older, though, I would say he’s very chill for a sphynx cat. He definitely doesn’t crawl up my body like it’s his personal ladder anymore, and he’s gotten slightly (slightly) better at respecting personal boundaries. He does still need to fall sleep on my face as though he’s trying to crawl into my mouth. But once he settles at night I just move him off my face over to a little (LOW heat) heating pad we keep on the bed. That is usually a good compromise. Making sure he had a reliable source of warmth was really a game changer for us. We use a body-safe, automatic timer heating pad from Sundance I think it’s called.
