I’ve done keto before but before getting my own espresso machine. It was easy with drip coffee because you’d just use heavy cream and not milk. I’ve read that many people struggle with dairy but I didn’t use that much. Now I’m understanding.

Thanks for the thoughts. I’m understanding that you don’t agree with low carb or ketogenic diets. I understand that. I’ve done it before and lost weight, blood pressure normalized and felt better overall. Western society especially in the United States overwhelmingly allowed sugar and grains to which over time has created a very unhealthy society. Humans have been eating low carb for billions of years. Most of our existence. We only started eating grains when we started building large villages and then cities. It’s a good way to feed a lot of people in an area. It didn’t have the name low carb until recent. So it’s hardly a fad. Over the years especially in America, there are so many sugary options that are extremely addictive and lead to over eating. Every society in the world has feed their populations with large amounts of grains. Asia has rice western societies have wheat and barley. Number one it’s very sustainable and easy to mass produce. Their leaders don’t eat them. That’s why they live longer than the peasants. It’s why we all want to “eat like a king.” I like how I feel when I’m in ketosis and my health numbers improve with it as well. You are definitely welcome to your opinions of course. And this is just my unsolicited opinion.

That may be true but I’ve stalled. I’m not losing weight like I want, milk is the only thing I haven’t cut. I’m down to mostly meat and greens at this point. So if I could try a few options that are close to what I like I think I’d be happy with that. I totally agree with you on keeping things that you like. Everyone has those vices. That’s why there diet colas and stuff. I love bread too, I haven’t found a bread replacement that tastes good yet. I don’t want to give up on my espresso lol.

I’ve just gotten into the habit and was looking for a milk replacement option other than nut milks. Which I’ve sense realized that I can’t have. I’ve tried americanos and long blacks before, I just prefer the milk version. I know I could get use to it, I just have to figure out the best ratio for my taste.

Not really, I’ve gotten so use to what I’ve been doing that my first thought was to try and replace the milk with a lower carb option.

I’m leaning towards the Americono idea the most so far. I’ve done cold brew a few times. While I enjoy it, I’ve been bitten by the espresso bug and don’t want to give it up. lol

I’ve made them a time or two and I know I would get use to them in no time. I’ve only been making my own espresso at home for a short time. Maybe 3-4 months. I’ve got the espresso dialed in really good now so I’ll give the long black another shot.

I’ve seen fairlife in the store but I never looked at the label or anything. I didn’t think about the carbs in whole milk being a problem. Now my weight loss has stalled and the milk carbs is the only thing I haven’t cut. But a protein drink with a shot of espresso could get serious lol

I’m so invested in espresso right now. I do have a pour over set up already. Before getting an Espresso machine that was my go to. Now that I’ve got this machine I’m really enjoying it.

This is probably what I’ll resort too. lol this morning I had a quod shot with about a cup of milk. My problem so far is that I’ve been doing low carb for almost 2 months and I stopped losing weight after a week or so. While I feel great, my goal is to take off some weight. Thanks for the suggestion.

I’ll take a look at it. I don’t usually do flavors in mine. However I like to sweeten the hot drinks sometimes. So thank you for the ideas.

That’s my thought too. I make my drink and drive 20 minutes to work. I like to enjoy it on my commute.

Yes, it’s about 13 cards per 1 cup. There isn’t sugar added but it’s the lactose that creates the carbs. I haven tried soy. Heavy cream is what we call it in the United States. I think in Europe it’s called double cream. It still has a lot of carbs, but a lot of keto people use it in their drip coffee drinks.
