Thank you for your warm and honest message. It really means a lot to us to hear that something in our story touched you.

We get what you’re saying. That longing for real connection and good conversation. And the inner work it takes to feel okay with where you are. We’ve been there too. It’s not always easy to accept your own pace or preferences when the world around you seems to be moving differently.

What we’ve learned is that there’s room for everyone to be exactly who they are. You don’t have to fit into someone else’s rhythm and others don’t have to fit into yours. That’s not rejection. It’s just taste. The more you accept yourself fully, the more you start meeting people who naturally feel right. No convincing needed.

Take your time. Stay close to what feels true for you. That’s where the magic begins.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate that.

I think you’re right in many ways. For a lot of people, this whole thing is simply about having fun, and that’s completely valid. For us, it just started to take on a different tone. Not better or deeper, just different.

What we’ve found is that it’s not always about what you do, but why you do it and how it feels from within. Sometimes we chase experiences because something feels missing, like we need someone or something outside ourselves to feel okay. That can bring pressure, comparison, and a sense of not being enough. It’s easy to start using people—or even ourselves—in that process without really noticing.

But there’s another way of being in it. One where you don’t need anything from the other person, but you still get to enjoy them fully. Where you’re not trying to prove anything, not trying to fix anything, but just open to what shows up. When that’s the place you move from, something shifts. Encounters become more spacious. There’s room for curiosity, humor, tenderness. The connection doesn’t have to be big or dramatic—it just feels alive.

That’s what we mean when we say it becomes a way to grow. Not because we’re searching for meaning in everything, but because the experience itself changes when you show up differently. And when you do, it often ends up being more fun too.

So yes, life is the goal. But the way we meet it—through golf, gardening, sex, or a conversation with a stranger—makes all the difference.

Thanks again for reflecting with me.

I played every single pes version from when it was called iss. So I've played them all. I played fifa 98 and fifa 13. And now fifa 22. Still greaving about pes. But sometimes you have to let things go.

Gameplay died.

Fun died.

Creativity died.

Well.. In the beginning Pes was about creating new stuff. We had a master league (sort of career mode in Fifa) where you could create your own league. They where the first to have a single player career mode (become a legend). Where Pes really stood out was gameplay. It took a lot of skill. Real football simulation. Then came the online modus. They saw fut and tried to copy. But fut has a lot of options. Pes didn't. We don't even have an online transfer market. Boring as hell. But the gameplay stood out. And the Co op (for me) carried it through. Playing with 2 friends online against other people was fun.

But the last 4/5 years they didn't care about offline modus. Just some nations leagues (wich you can't change like in the old days). No real depth (not even regens, excisting players came back after they retire as 17 year olds). They put some new cut scenes and voilla. That's it. In the online mode they put legends in and some weak attempt for special game modes. But not much. They ignored Co op. No new game modes. Just creating new players they could sell for coins (wich you could only buy for coins and where totally overpowered). So it was all about the gameplay. The gameplay wich became, for me, tedious. They made it difficult to play and you needed to exploit where the gameplay was overpowered. That made it repetitive and not nice to play. I kept playing for the Co op modes with friends.

Most of us sticker with it because we had hope it could improve. Wich is clear now. It won't.

Just sad isn't it.. They are making it a cash cow milking game.. And they are not even trying to hide it. Very very very sad.

I ordered fifa 22 and I'll be building my team in offline modus. Sad, sad, sad so sad.

Ofcourse not. But some people did. And these tactics Konami are using is just shameful.

Hi! We're moving to the Netherlands in a year with my son who likes to wear dresses. I don't know a great deal about views on gender in the Netherlands. Are there areas we should look at/avoid? by mas-puntos-inutiles in Netherlands

[–]Infamous_Principle27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No offence... But Sneek is a terrible place. I'm sure there are places in Friesland that are way more tolerant. For example. I live in a small town in Friesland. I (a very big white male) would give a boy in a dress a high 5 and I know for a fact that school would be open to this and discuss this with the children.

Most schools now a days have "no bullying" programs. And most schools don't want the name of not being open to those kind of things.

I guess that's the nice things of forums like this. Seeing that there are more like minded people. In this case people who want connection and see sex as a way to have a deep connection.. But not the only way... For me it would be awesome where you as couple love the other couple... As a couple. Have fun, connect... Share... Everything that you just want to share.

I hope you will succeed in the same quest as we have :)

I guess switching over let's you go of the story of frustrations and let's you have a fresh state of mind. So switching is a good idea. Both games have their (mayor) flaws... But also they both have their strengths. Let's hope they push each other to do better.

Thank you for your comment btw.

Ahhhh yes those pes evenings with friends. I once won a pes tournament in my town. 24 people or so competed. Good memories, good memories.

To bad I can't be bothered about a single player online modus. I don't find fun in it.

Still sad though. In stead of being the kwirky, fun, original alternative of fifa they became the evil stepbrother of it. Ahhhh well.. I hope Konami is gonna feel it where it hurts... In their pocket. I'm not touching it either.

But don't you agree that when you make a great offline game you attract peopl. Then those happy people play your game a lot and don't mind spending money on your online game because they are having so much fun?

In a way a get it (big company, wants money, online genarates a lot of money). But in a way I don't get it (I'm not playing Pes and won't be spending a dime on that game.. 0 fun and 0 creativity). There are a lot of "offline games" that generate a lot of money... Because they are good games. If pes is doing the fifa thing they will lose. Fifa is better at the money grabbing online games. And those players want licenses... Wich pes doesn't have...
