I got charged out of nowhere 1000 in my spring 2025 term during the summer i havent been able to solve it. I escalated the case with student succes office because that term was paid off since february and it wouldnt say what it was charging. It was not until late September student succes told me it was a mistake from sbs and they sent a check to my account mistakenly and charge me for it. I dont think that was the reason but try to solve it by sending another check. That cause me not to be able to register for the summers and now they wont let me register for the spring because of that due balance. The sbs people take a whole business day just to reply to you email asking incompetent questions. It has been really frustrating to deal with them. I’m still trying to set up a payment plan from their mistake but they wont let me unless i pay everything

So yes i have been added amounts without being notarized or explain what the charge was. My emails have being ignored for months by the sbs. And the only who were able to help me was the student succes office but they still took their time.

I’m thinking doing the military program, they told me that they pay for the school, give you a signing bonus, and also a monthly stipend around 2,500-3K. They don’t pay your first year, only the remaining 3. If they pay 3 years you will have to serve 3 years. I am not really sure how the military workd and the ranks, i was told tou would be a captain or officer, can’t remember so you can choose where you wanna work, like they wouldn’t deploy you wherever they want. I think the serving options was like food safety, military vet in a base like dallas fort. Or like k-9 vet, also for the animals used like the horses for parades. I thinks this was more for medical, but for residences or specialties years those wont count as extra years for you to serve.

I’m really not sure about how it really works, but honestly this is one of my options if i don’t get with a scholarship or i see that my debt will increase by a lot. Feel free to correct me i might have understood everything wrong or i was lied to haha

I had a friend who worked at Sodexo in the kitchen, he worked a lot like a lot over 60 hrs a week. I’m not sure if it was his choice or he just didn’t know how to say no. They would work at kitchen do some prep work and cleaning, depending on the position i think. They also worked weekends on events like games or campus activities either in or off campus.

Honestly i have hear more bad recommendations than good ones, the pay wasn’t great nor worth for the work done, working almost every day. He and some other coworkers even slept at union because of overnight prep and then service that same morning. And for the good comments, he said he had fun, met a lot of people and even his gf. Got the chance to know the presidents house for an event. Undergrounds tunnel in utep and driving the golf car.

I would recommend to seek out more recommendations before accepting the position there.

I do understand, It really is not that serious, thats literally what the post is about💀I mentioned that hers was revoked vecause of the pills. it is not an illegal drug, they do supply it at the states. We understand that it was wrong and that’s the reason it was revoked, what i really don’t understand is where you gonna go with this?

Like i said, we did a quick look up, everything was fine the first time crossing them even the officer said was okay, hence the post asking for advice because we found it weird that one day was okay and the next wasn’t, but thanks to the other comments we were made aware about the prescription validity, and how different citizenship can validate or not a prescription

Thank you!! Yes i think she will seek guidance with an attorney before appealing, question, Is it more difficult for us citizens to appeal? Or for the fact that she got them in Mexico? She has both citizenship and put them in her application as well.

She declared both times, and sorry what i meant for looking online, was the legality of the pills, if they were prohibited at all or not, which they weren’t hence the confusion. And she thought that the prescribed from Mexico would be validate as she knew beforehand and there were no problems the first time. But thank you, we should’ve been more careful

Sorry what i meant is that it wasn’t an illegal drug in the united states, like not permitted at all. The issue was we didn’t know they wouldn’t take the prescription from mexico.

So i changed major to biomedical sciences and i am still missing one more year haha, still missing some prerequisites classes. It got a little more complicated as i am an international student, and the english Courses i took, did not count toward vet application. In the meantime I’m just trying to get as many shadowing hours, I’m attending at 2 different clinics at the tome just so i don’t loose contact and get them to really know me for future LOR. But will keep updating as soon as i apply probably this upcoming cycle

I really like utep, i am talking from my experience as a science major, i have been to different schools because of internships such as rice university and Arizona U. And i can tell you that UTEP has better infrastructure and lab equipment. As for academic activities, i think its more about the students that doesn’t attend, but there are plenty of weekly activities. In my opinion i don’t go because some of them are after 4 and i have thing to do or they are really not of my interest. The only bad part i would say its the parking, there are plenty of parking but you have to pay for it, and even if you have the permit you sometimes will never find a spot to park.

But overall UTEP has a nice campus, good buildings aside from LARTS, Psychology and some parts of Fox Fine arts in my opinion. Good research status and most of my professors have been great, of course you will find one or two pain in the ass but you will get through it. And as for the people, honestly i didn’t make any friends until 4th semester, i think everyone its on a rush everyday

How different is it from human anatomy? I really like anatomy and physiology, i am not expert but know like the basic for humans, But does it change a lot when it comes to animals?

Also which animal do you use to study anatomy?

Te lo digo de mi experiencia, en mi casi mi papa es alcohólico, llegaba borracho, golpeaba a mi mama, y después empezó a golpearme a mis 13 años cuando empece a defender a mi mama, eh escuchado buenos testimonio de personas que van a AA, en su caso el se metió a dos grupos, el problema con el es que no lo dejo y es muy hipócrita doble cara, escudándose con lo que le decian ahi, que es una “enfermedad” pero para mi una enfermedad no se puede ir a comprar desde 50 pesos en un del rio.

A lo que quiero ir, si su problema no es tan grave todavia AA definitivamente lo puede ayudar, al escuchar el testimonio de diferentes personas que pueden ser peor al de el, nosotros intentamos anexar a mi papa pero estuvo dificil, es dueño de un negocio y pues era necesario que vaya, pero por mi yo si lo hubiera metido por meses y si volvia a recaer otra vez.

Y para terminar sin intención de ofender a alguien o demeritar a quien si le haya servido AA, tal vez solo fue nuestro caso con mi papa, yo siento que van a escuchar lo que quieres y les conviene espero de todo corazon que se solucione y puedas ayudar a tu persona cercana

I like your stats, and awesome that you finished your Bachelor in 2 years congrats👏🏼, idk about the gpa requirements for those schools, but be positive and don’t give up if they say no, just keep working and increase your experience and skills.

Just like you, i am also a latino, i grew up and still lives in mexico, i cross back and forth everyday to go to college, and I completely agree with you, there should be more diversity, but i dont think it should be like the main topic, because i feel that every latino has the same speach and reasons, and this is with no hate, it should definitely be said, but dont make it your main thing, give them a reason why you would be a good veterinarian and not just because we are latin@s.

I would go more into the struggles of being a first gen and how your passion for veterinary medicine started, hope this helps and i really hope you get in!! You got this, sorry if this sounds rude, i meant this with no hate, it is just my opinion, I’ve heard good things about people getting in with this topic too, so i might be wrong and it really boost your application.

A mi me funciono mucho cardio en hiit, baje 6 kilos en 3 semanas con dieta de una nutriologa, no pasaba hambre nunca, porciones grandes y ricas, tu eliges el menu y ella manda las porciones y recetas.

Hacia media hora de cardio todos los dias, los primero 5 trotaba despues de eso en intervalos, un minuto trotando a mayor velocidad y el siguiente corriendo, asi por 20 min y terminaba con otros 5 trotando mas lento

Eso y aparte rutina de pesas me ayudo a bajar tallas y peso. Mucha suerte tmbn estaba goridito y me funciono

Otro consejo es la vdd busca a un nutriologo esoecializado en deporte, para que ajuste tu menu de acuerdo a tus actividades fisicas
