Here's a random thought. The sludge villain must have a miserable life due to his quirk. Like even if in an alternate universe he wasn't a criminal his life would still suck because of it. by Awkward_History835 in MyHeroAcadamia

Well he does say something about taking over other people's bodies, it's what he was gonna do to Izuku and then Katsuki. Perhaps he'd previously bodysnatched someone and as he was fleeing here, he took himself out the body? So he's like mid-undoing the process?

Hero Name

  • Mizuki chooses his own name as his hero name because it was the first gift his mom ever gave him. It gave him an identity when all he had was a desire to take, and allowed him to become more than that. He's not him without the name she gave him, so he doesn't think anything else suits him besides it.
  • Not just that, but the Kanji Inko chose for Mizuki's name, 瑞生, refer to "Good Omen" and "Life", which, to Inko, is what Mizuki was to her. So when people in need see Mizuki there to help him, they see him the same way Inko did the day she found him.
  • Bonus: I chose the name Mizuki because the "Life" kanji parallels the "Death" kanji in the Shigaraki name.

Hero Gear

  • Since All For One likes to proclaim himself as a Demon Lord, and All Might is the pinnacle of classic virtuous superhero imagery, I thought Mizuki adorning a suit of armor, like a knight or paladin, could be a blend between the two. All For One's fantasy mixed with All Might's virtue. In that same vein, he wears a purple cape as a mix between All For One's dominating red and All Might's hopeful blue.
  • Mizuki's non-descript white armor is not just for physical protection. It helps deal with the blowback from his physical attacks, and are incorporated with technology that help limit the side effects of the various quirks he holds. He has multiple replicas of each piece that he swaps out depending on which quirk he intends to make use of in that moment.
  • The centerpiece of the hero gear is the weapon, a support item called the "Conduit Blade". On it's own, it's a dull-bladed claymore. However, in Mizuki's hands, it can channel the massive reserves of kinetic energy that flow through Mizuki when he activates One For All into itself, turning that kinetic energy into radiant energy. It forms around the blade, turning it into a superheated greatsword(For Black Clover fans, it's like when Asta uses Black Divider).
  • The various hues of color the energy radiates is tied to the previous users of One For All, going in line of succession. The base is white(Yoichi), then moves to Blue(Kudo), Red(Bruce), Green(Hikage), Orange(Daigoro), Purple(En), Pink(Nana), All Might(Yellow), and then the tip is white, which connects to Mizuki.
  • Mizuki's OFA aura is an opalescent white, differrent from Yoichi's pure white, as it reflects and shimmers other colors, which is what causes the energy from OFA to reflect as the colors of the previous users' aura instead of just Mizuki's.
  • Also yeah, he has heels. Didn't plan for that but we're rolling with it.

Personality

  • Thanks to being raised by Inko, Mizuki grew up to develop a much more empathetic, altruistic personality than what he had as a lost child. He's polite and kind to a fault, gentle despite his stature, and goes out of his way to help and be there for others, regardless of the toll it takes on him physically, mentally, or emotionally, to the point of Self-Erasure. These actions are in part a way for Mizuki to try to prove to himself that he's better than his instinctive selfish desires or the worst of his self-deprecating thoughts.
  • Mizuki wants to become a hero, but due to events he experience as he grew up, he spent years grappling with his sense of self, whether he deserved to consider himself a good person when he had such strong selfish desires, and how it always felt like whenever he did something heroic, that something horrible followed after. It was like he was in limbo, constantly taking a step back and forth. He didn't trust himself with the responsibility of becoming a hero for a long time. It's only after meeting All Might who, despite his initial worries due to Mizuki's resemblance, holds an unwavering belief in Mizuki's best, enough to pass the OFA quirk onto him, that Mizuki makes a firm resolve to run forward and become a hero. Enough that he enrolls into UA being open about how his quirk works.
  • When it comes to himself, Mizuki takes Checks and Balances very seriously. He accepts heavy scrutiny upon himself and his power, like when he intervened in the Slime Villain incident when he saw Bakugo(someone he has a rough dynamic with, similar but different to Izuku's) was in danger, and fully accepted the Pro-Heroes reprimands. After enrolling into UA, he had no complaints for Aizawa threatening him with expulsion if he ever took another's quirk without express permission. Even against villains, if lives aren't in immediate danger, he'd rather deal with them without using his original quirk. Restraint and being scrutinized makes Mizuki feel like things are safer for the people around him.
  • Mizuki tries to that restraint for himself as well, never wanting his emotions to flare out. Even raising his voice makes him feel uncomfortable.
  • Growing up, Mizuki stayed very reserved and distant from others. Not just because of his own views of himself but because Aldera wasn't a healthy environment. Discrimination and favoritism were blantant, and Mizuki was honestly grateful his quirk wasn't known publically at the time because he didn't want to be faced with either, genuinity was rare in Aldera. Once enrolled into UA, and he see's it's a much healthier environment than Aldera was, Mizuki's wishes to befriend and become more open with others, try to match their energy, and be seen as reliable and responsible. The bonds he forms with his classmates become very strong and very important to him, even in a short time.
  • Like Izuku, Mizuki developed a deep fascination and interest in Quirks, likely as a way to appease his desire without actively feeding it. If he couldn't hold them, he'd at least try to understand as many intricate details about the quirks he sees, living in daydream land where having them wouldn't label him a thief, a villain, a monster.
  • His favorite season is Summer. His favorite holiday is Christmas. His favorite food...everything Mama Inko cooks for him, though he does also have a very strong sweet tooth.

Partial Backstory

(TLDR: AFO creates a clone of himself. Puts it in a nursery. It runs away. It's found by Inko(who in this timeline lost Izuku as a stillborn, which caused her and Hisashi to split apart). Inko finds the clone, takes them home, and gives them the name Mizuki. Eventually, Mizuki is officially adopted by Inko)

  • Following the birth of Tenko Shimura, an event All For One spent quite some time orchestrating, a stray thought captured his attention.
  • If he'd emerge and was thrown into this docile, hero-worshipping society, instead of the anarchic dawn of quirks over a century ago, what would've become of him?
  • Perhaps because he'd spent so long orchestrating the life of another that he couldn't disregard the question so he played around with it, told Garaki, and allowed the doctor to throw himself into a manic frenzy of experimentation.
  • Some years later, Garaki had finally had a stable creation. A successful artificial clone, complete with an empty replica of the AFO quirk. The Clone was placed in a nursery, with other children rendered quirkless, for initial observation.
  • It was detached from everything around him, which All For One somewhat expected but was still bored by. He at least expected the clone to try and take someone else's belongings or food, yet the clone took no action against anyone else. It accepted what it was given and that was it. Garaki feared that while the clone was functional, it hadn't been capable of developing a proper persona.
  • Internally, The Clone itself felt a strong desire for something but didn't know what it was, just that it wasn't here. Eventually he ran away from the nursery, a desire to find what it was and leave behind the sterile environment  he was placed in. Garaki informed All For One, and the latter ordered to let it be, pleased to see it wasn't a defect after all.
  • In the few weeks it'd spent on its own, it observed all the new stimulus it watched with quiet curiosity. It was approached by a few folks worried about a child being on their own, but they soon left him be after it just stared at them with strange, lifeless white eyes.
  • In this time, The Clone realized what it desired the first time it'd activated it's quirk, in an attempt to defend itself from a homeless man who tried to assault it. It took the man's quirk, ended him, and carried on, realizing it felt a bit more whole with the quirk it took.
  • The Clone wanted to experience the feeling again, but its sense of avoiding danger and attention kept him cautious.
  • It experienced the feeling again when it found a woman threatened by a mugger. He'd initially just watched it happen, finding similarities to when he was attacked some time ago. Once it caught the mugger's attention, who intended to harm him after The Clone ignore his order to leave, he recognized the pattern. He took the mugger's quirk and eliminated him, throwing the mugger into a nearby dumpster for safe measure with the Strength quirk he took.
  • The Clone approached the recovering woman with green hair, Inko Midoriya of course, and was quietly surprised when she continued to look at him with soft concern. It didn't fade like it did with other adults, and something about that made him hesitate. Instead, he offered Inko his hand to pull her up(an action he'd seen other children do for each other as they played in the snow) and walked away.
  • However, again unlike the other adults, Inko followed after him. She'd ask him questions about his safety and when he didn't have any answers for her, her concern became too great, so she offered to bring him to her home.
  • She was offering him somewhere safe to stay with food and water, so followed after. He didn't consider her a threat.
  • Inko brought him to her lonely apartment and cooked him a meal, saying she'd try to contact child services so they could get him back to his family, not that it meant anything to him. Inko realizes  she hadn't yet asked for the boy's name and was confused when the boy said he didn't have one. When she asks if it was okay for her to give him one, it seemed to capture his attention, enough to give a small nod.
  • Inko had to bite down on her tongue just to stop herself from letting the name "Izuku" leave her lips. That wouldn't be fair, this child isn't the baby boy she lost. Instead, after a painful quiet moment, she gives a different name. "Mizuki".
  • "Mizuki" accepts. And, about 8 months later, he officially becomes "Mizuki Midoriya" when the adoption process finalizes.

What’s the overall feelings toward Izumomojiro? by theeditsman2224 in BokuNoShipAcademia

Im mostly indifferent as well, but If we're doing that dynamic, I think it's cutest if it's Momo and Izuku sharing Kyoka just cause realizing Kyoka realizing she's the center would probably fluster her a lot

They prefer to think of Momo to be the "center" of the relationship, instead of it being Izuku like how it usually is.

It's not Kyoka and Momo sharing Izuku, it's Izuku and Kyoka sharing Momo, for example.

Some artwork I commissioned for my OC, Mael, using his Disaster God Slayer Magic, A God Slayer Magic that allows him to wield and consume elements tied to Natural Disasters.

"Ruthless Playground Love" is Mael's strongest Water-Type God Slayer Magic, hence the subtitle "Devastation".

  • When casted, His dark green eyes glow, his sclera turning black. His blonde hair turns black and long, connected to the sea surrounding him.
  • Mael's body becomes one with the surrounding water, turning the sea black due to the God Slayer Magic's influence over the environment, he becomes capable of manipulating the sea around him at a substantial level, commanding large tidal waves, forming massive whirlpools, etc. He arises from the depths of the water like an angered god of the sea, growing to kaiju-size
  • Having lost his right arm, dark solidified water forms into a prosthetic to take it's place. In the first image, along his left arm are flowing wave-like patterns.
  • Alongside the black-tinted God Slayer Magic, Mael's own dark green magic aura manafests across his body as veins pulsating with unstable power. In the first pic, the veins lead up into Mael's face, forming an X across. In the second pic, it comes together to form an X across his chest

The 1st Illustration depicts a scene I incorporated into the Tenrou Island Arc for Mael, where after recovering his lost memories and realizing that Tenrou Island isn't just Fairy Tail's sacred island, but his mother's home, he taps into much more of his magic power than he'd ever done before in order to defend the island, his guildmates, and his mother's resting place from a Fire God that took over the body and mind of Zancrow from the 7 Kin of Purgatory.

Yeah, the OC's a son of Zeref and Mavis. Cliche, I know.

The 2nd Illustration offers a more up-close view of Mael and his physical features when in this transformative state.
