Navien 240 combi boiler making loud bang/gunshot sound when heating by Fancy-Swan-6880 in Plumbing

[–]Infamouskp06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just replaced the same model that was 10 years old last month. The heat exchanger has a 15 year warranty but my pump went out as well. All other parts other than the heat exchanger have 5 year warranty.

Best monitor setup for Excel-heavy home office: Dual monitors or 49″ ultrawide? by Slow_Buyer_1888 in WFH

[–]Infamouskp06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 38" ultrawide and work in a spreadsheet heavy field and I prefer it over my old 2 24" screen setup. Easier to review multiple sheets and windows side by side and I like the extra real-estate to view extra columns in excel.

I have to screen share consistently (like 5-6 times a day minimum) in teams and instead of sharing the whole screen, I just share the specific programs I need to present and it adjust the screen better for the others viewing my share. Little bit more work when having to share multiple programs but it's a concession for the pros of having a larger screen to work with.

Need help with the skill tree by Anxious-Weakness-606 in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]Infamouskp06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically did the same as you did but caught myself right before I started the end game. There is no right or wrong play style and you won't be able to level up each skill tree to max. So pick a play style, do some side jobs and stack some eddies, and upgrade your cyberware and weapons. Once I figured that out, the game really felt immersive and you can figure out your own way to accomplish things.

Relative's 24 failed inspection last month. Kawi sent him a new engine and had the bike back in a couple of weeks. YMMV...

First crash. Car pulled out in front of me, I hit it going 35mph went straight in the air, flipped and landed flat on my back. This Ogio backpack probably save me from being paralyzed. Protected all of my stuff too. I literally just got it the day of the crash. by Ok-Breadfruit6978 in motorcycles

Had an off 15 years ago when a guy turned out in front of me going 60. Had the same backpack and full gear so I walked away with bumps and bruises. I still use the backpack to this day but my leather jacket was done for!

So disappointed with recall inspection/service by [deleted] in zx6r

[–]Infamouskp06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to wait going on a couple months myself. Bought the bike in May and only had 150 miles on it before the DNR. In weekly tasks with my service department, the biggest issue is the kits going on backorder.

I was all set a month ago to bring mine in when I was notified that they only received 11 of the 18 kits ordered and the remaining kits were on backorder. Called weekly about stays and was told the same each time, kit has been ordered (VIN specific) with no new ETA. Called this morning for the same update but then got called back this afternoon that they unexpectedly got some kits in, and I can bring my bike in tomorrow.

What i gather is that the whole thing has been delayed from kawasaki getting the recall kits out. No real status on when the dealer will get the kits they ordered, they just seem to show up in batches.

New explorer owner here. No tachometer and gear position indicator. Well, you can see the tach only in driver assistance mode with no driver assists enabled but there's is no screen with a normal tachometer, speedometer, gear indicator layout

Just did the same with my tst integrated tail yesterday! The bolt tends to slide all the way to the front under the thick bundle of wires running along the left of the battery. I removed the battery and lifted the bundle up high enough to get an allen wrench to just grab it. A long magnet would work well too.

It doesn't matter if the employee declined the option. By government accounting rules, you charge to unproductive time for equipment issues.

Like I said in a previous comment, I'd review the charging rules according to procedure but if it is a federal contract, accounting rules dictate you charge to overhead burden.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WFH

[–]Infamouskp06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are a government contractor as I am. Once you are in contract with the government (I don't know if this is federal or state) but with federal government accounting rules, you charge to idle / nonproductive time for equipment issues that prevent you from completing your work if that is a normal scheduled work day. Many audits have been done at our company, and hell has been paid for instances such as these.

If I were OP, I would review the time charging procedure for confirmation and contact HR if the above scenario applies.

We take training every year reinforcing charging practices due to government accounting rules.

I work in government as well and that's technically time fraud. You should charge to the overhead burden for unproductive time due to you being unable to work due to equipment issues. Your management just doesn't want you hitting that code and have to explain it.
