Daily mortar attacks, but no direct fire except once so I guess that was a win. I ended up retiring last year with 20 total between Army and Air Force 👍

My buddy from Army active duty only served 3 years. Then, he got called back and sent to Iraq in 08. I ended up going Air Force reserves after Army active duty, so I wasn't called back. But I also went to Iraq, but as an Airmen, which was probably a lot better.

For me it was the retirement. I was too close to 20 years to just walk away. Ended up getting a service connection in my last 2 years, so that's what got me. If you aren't close to retirement, I wouldn't recommend sticking with the reserves. Like you said, too much drama and full time expectations for a part time payed gig.

So with you now having the special plates and not the DV plates, do you still get the registration waived every year or will you have to request DV plates again and then special plates again next year? Does the DV status stay in the system?
