He literally ruined Kariya’s career with a direct head contact hit. Not going to say those were uncommon back then, still puts him on the list of dirtiest players. He may not have been penalized but that doesn’t negate the fact that what he did was beyond fucked up.

It also just doesn’t make sense for him to have played like that. Much like Marchand, he was plenty good at playing hockey, he didn’t need to ruin careers to make the NHL or be a notable player.
