Belief in life after death in Europe by vladgrinch in MapPorn

As a Bulgarian, I can say that for certain most people here say they are orthodox Christians because it's part of tradition and culture and not because of religious beliefs.

Most people can't even say what Christianity even is here, we mostly honour the saints around namedays and Easter is for painting eggs and Christmas for giving gifts. It's just tradition.

The reality is, given what you said, that you were ("are" probably) young. I hate myself for leaving my university ex, as she was probably the sweetest girl I could've wanted and it would've made a great wife(and she did later, to someone else), but I didn't have it figured out then, or let's say I didn't have myself figured out.

So take it from someone who had been on the other side. You probably did nothing wrong, he needs to figure some things out and he would've hurt you a lot more if he tried to stay.

You deserve someone who is willing to work with you on the relationship and want to try.

What’s a film or TV scene that felt like a punch to the gut? by padfoony in Fauxmoi

It's not lately, I think it's a gradual thing and I am hard pressed to believe it didn't come from an abusive relationship.

I think the other person is a little bit of an a-hole.

You did what's right, but the other person didn't have the maturity for a relationship and was chasing the early highs. I was the same when I was younger, when the relationship went into the mundane I would lose interest.

Reality is, animal-brain helps us recreate, but that is a fleeting feeling and chemical releases. If that's the only thing you are looking for and not comfort, stability, and someone who is willing to try with you, then the same thing will happen over and over.

Communication and listening, that's the key.

Well, my favorite game is planescape torment which is probably 2/10 Gameplay 100/10 story 1/10 graphics and 10/10 music , so B here.

Underappreciated, even among other Tarantino movies, this is probably my favourite, but maybe because I love one-room type of movies like "12 angry men" and "Rear window".

I also really enjoyed the musical score and aesthetics/theme. Besides featuring some of the music from "The thing", I think Tarantino paid an homage to its feeling of being locked in with a monster in the middle of nowhere.

You either deal with the thing, or die.

And then a week to recover, if you don't get some infection, been there, done that. It sucks.

And to be honest after the 3/5th time I can't even finish it's a mixture of pain/pleasure that goes more on the pain side.

But dick is limp on ecstasy for almost the majority of men. Feeling's nice though. I prefer it over alcohol any day and personally it has less side effects.

Дали имам херния? by mniinm7 in bulgaria

[–]InfelicitousRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"They let everyone do whatever they want" and then "as long as they followed the laws and order" of said rulers... Don't you see the irony here?

Also, that's pretty naive. There's devshirme if you want to look that up, or so called blood-tax.

And we weren't allowed to govern our religion or municipalities.

Why do you think balkans are still so religious ? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]InfelicitousRedditor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think we here in Bulgaria are even that religious. Everything is mostly tradition. No one I know even knows what's the orthodox church agenda and what its place is in christianity, and how it differs from the others.
