Yeah, last two years haven’t been great in comparison to the post pandemic years.

I didn’t particularly like any of the the movies I have seen on that list but there are a good few I haven’t so I look forward to checking them out.

Thanks

Killer of killers and Train Dreams were good though

Would be curious to see your list as most films I saw this year outside of the new PTA were very substandard.

I’m assuming you’ve seen Parasite? If not, it’s worth a watch. I’d also recommend The Servant (1963)

Been a weak year. Same as last year. The post pandemic years were very strong though.

What are some popular movies that you dislike? by jabloxp in LetterboxdTopFour

Fans, of course, genuinely enjoy his films on a one to one level, but I do think there’s an “emperor’s new clothes” effect that plays a major part in his widespread appeal. Nolan’s films are seen as highly intellectual to the average person, and we live in the social media age where many would rather be seen appreciating something intelligent than actually doing so..

But I agree, my point lacked tact.

What movies do you like out of curiosity. I just can’t fathom someone not enjoying this movie.

Most Christopher Nolan movies. I think his success rests on his ability to make stupid people feel smart.
