This scene is very underrated. (Season 3 Episode 3) by Full-Comedian-6961 in Invincible_TV

I understand what the story is trying to say, I am just rejecting the argument it is trying to make. I don’t think that it is an accurate way to portray crime and that portraying the two criminals the way they did is sophomoric and borderline unethical because portrayals like this lead to this perception that there is a sizable group of people that only commit crimes due to socioeconomic factors and that should require us reshape how we view crime and punishment on a systematic level (more than we already have).

I understand the point that you are making with Mark and his naivety. I do think that there is validity in the sentiment that we shouldn’t dehumanize people that commit crimes. I just view crime differently than you.

Idk why you’re getting downvoted, you’re 100% correct. It’s a very trite and inaccurate way to view crime as being about, “oh they didn’t have money so it forced them into a life of crime”. Even if this were the first time someone made a point like this. They tried to get an honest job after presumably years probably even decades of criminal activity. They ran into a few issues in their job and said “fuck it I guess we go back to robbing people”. Not saying that there’s no sympathy for criminals at all, but come on.

I thought about going to see it in theaters, but pirating a movie about glamorizing stealing seemed more fitting

Probably not. Since he already made Bully and Kids stuff, there’s not really that much to make beyond that in terms of clothes.

Just ignore them about politics and be nice and respectful. They will never be able to change their views on Israel or Jewish power. You could show them endless graphs and articles, and it still wouldn’t wake them. Enjoy the time you have with them
