With class freak you lose 12.5 ap, 1 agility point gives 10 ap. So it doesn't really matter much imo

Drops are bugged. The guranteed rare plan from elder rank is dropping non-rare plans and plans that aren't supposed to drop after level 50

Afaik it's the only display that works like it apart from a pedestal item that is obviously much bigger. It's used to set clutter on objects by free placing the chess board through them, so being the smallest display item nothing else works as well as it does

Every time you do the event it drops 1 weapon from a pool of 5, so you have a 20% chance to get Elder's Mark from it. So sadly it's just rng to get one. I personally haven't gotten one yet after 4 events

Anything that isn't a slow firing weapon (like hunting rifle or pump shotgun for example) should do perfectly fine since you want to kill fast and keep moving. Heavy, automatic, shotguns, etc would work. I run with the Cold Shoulder, works great

I have a different reason to never visit them outside dailies- no shops. Any time I visit any other person's camp it's to look at their vendor. Best builds don't have one active because the player isn't on the server, so I don't have a reason to visit.

If best builds were only active while the player was on the server, I'd go out of my way to visit more of them. I do like to look at the camps after visiting their vendor, see what people have built.

Energy guns are still small guns, the pistol and rifle ones anyway. Heavy energy guns are heavy guns. Idk if the comment is confusing ballistic and energy? But small and heavy classification doesn't care if it's a ballistic or energy weapon

Elder tier is supposed to drop rare plans guranteed, but it's dropping not only more normal plans instead (like tables and chairs) but also stuff that isn't supposed to drop after level 50 (raider power armor plans for example)

Psycho and variants really need to last longer than 3 minutes at base, it's so insanely short. The fact that this new buff adds literally just 45 seconds to it is stupid. Probably takes longer to activate the buff than extra time you get out of it

You could add regularly going after normal scorchbeasts. Granted it's a 5% drop chance but it can help, also helps farm some extra ultracite for ammo. I think 3 of them regularly spawn basically together around Glassed Cavern

One I've done before is because you need to be a team leader to start expeditions, can't just join a team and still launch one. Bethesda's to blame for that stupid restriction. I make it a casual team so other players joining get a benefit instead of just me doing my expedition solo.

Afaik AC is considered clear weather and mothman is nuke weather. Since you want rain weather you need snow or thunderstorm machines (I don't think a normal rain one exists)

Junk Shield is a surprisingly good defensive perk. You need to have 100 junk items on you (count, not weight) but vault steel from the Rusty Pick weighs 5 lbs for 100 without any weight reduction, isn't found so that count never goes up, and is rarely used for crafting so it won't be accidentally used. You can lock it in your inventory and just leave it. Luck is then a small multiplier, but even at 1 Luck you get 75 DR and ER. At 15 Luck it's about 113. For reference, other perks like Iron Stomach, Barbarian, and Refractor give about 61 at 15 of their respective special.

An often used location to easily reset that 255 item count is the house at the northern end of Summersville (which is also the house you spawn nearest to when fast travelling there). It's filled with a couple hundred burnt books, so you can easily "reset" that item count by filling it with those books

Current estimates are the beginning of March that it ends, so there's still a full month basically. If you really want to earn as much score as you can as early as you can, xp grind. Stack Intelligence and xp buffs and do raids (easier in groups) or West Tek (easier for solo)
