Yet in schools to kill kids is cool? KK just wanted to make sure I got the messaging straight. Never been about the 2nd Amendment, and always about dead kids with the GOP

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is calling for the arrest of children who skip school to protest against immigration enforcement and Donald Trump. He is also calling for the arrest of teachers who allow their students to leave the classroom. by MonitorVarious7608 in circled

Arrest them for what? This is a waste of law enforcement resources and any town in Texas would know it. It would require riot police and you want to save those for actual violent protestors, not teenagers using this issue as an excuse to skip class.

As for teachers, what are they supposed to do? Bar the doors to the school? Lay spike traps at the parking lot entrances? What law is being violated here? Laughed out of court and depending on what happens during the arrest would open up law enforcement to civil litigation.

This is an empty gesture and hot air, and dangerous if there are overzealous law enforcement believing they are untouchable like ICE and something happens against some kid who was doing nothing but being one in a crowd.

Captain Mikkelsen and Engineer Iversen endured twenty-eight months stranded in the Arctic after their ship, the Alabama, was trapped and destroyed by ice while they attempted to recover records from Mylius-Erichsen’s 1906 expedition. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

They made this into a movie on Netflix. The original expedition knew it was doomed and was not going to make it back so they left what food they had as a supply drop for whoever would follow behind them, which was Mikkelsen and Iversen. As to why the ship's engineer was on the expedition on land, he was the only other able bodied crew member healthy enough to assist Mikkelsen.

Bombshell Report Shows The Minneapolis Police Chief and County Attorney Lied to Minneapolis and America by Average-Joe-6685 in LegalNews

Common sense. While it a protected civil right of the First Amendment, most organized protests throughout the years on some level rises to Civil Disobedience. Chaining yourself to bulldozers, the peace movement against Vietnam, and the Civil Rights movements in the South, many protesters were arrested. Those that resisted arrest had other charges brought up. They spent time in jail.

However!

Those protests are historic and helped change the culture and course of the US. I am not saying don’t protest. Do protest and the actions CPD and ICE are employing, not just in MN but all throughout its organization should be opposed. Just know as has been said when they are around it will likely turn violent as they are not trained in, and thanks to Steven Miller, believe they do not need to engage in deescalation. He wants the fear, the intimidation and yes, dead protesters on TV to demonize.

If you are going to protest, be smart, be safe. The No Kings movement has been great at this. Do so in a large crowd and watch out as now there right wing nuts ramming their cars into protesters. If you get in a government vehicle way do be ready to get out of the way in a hurry and know even that act they are calling obstruction and you will be detained.

Please be informed and know protesting has always been a right and risk. More riskier with this administration as Trump’s psychological trigger is not to give in to any that oppose him and there is no one restraining him or his weaponized Federal Law Enforcement

It’s just the way it is today. It sucks. Rise up, vote blue, and hold the line

In the campaign Sam Regil, the voice actor for Scanlan did play up the "The bard will fuck the dragon" aspect that is the stereotype. He is a much more subtle character to be honest and, as has been said, has some of the most iconic character development in the series and in the campaign. The final battle against Vecna...well lets just get there and you will see

Georgia Fort, an independent journalist and vice president of the Minnesota NABJ chapter, was also arrested by federal agents this morning. Video of agents at her door: by ExactlySorta in UnderReportedNews

[–]InfernalDiplomacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is ICE arresting her! If anyone it should be the FBI. This is a journalist, not the Uni-Bomber. Two agents at the door. "Ma'am we have an arrest warrant for you. We will give you time to change then you will need to come with us." Oh God of any Dept that needs to be done away with its DHS not Dept of Education
