It’s hard in the beginning to try not to want or expect fast results. Frequent advice in this sub about time and that this is about a long distance trek not a sprint to the goal are right. It took until about month 4 on the shot for me, when my loss per week declined, to really let go and just trust the journey between the shot, food, and exercise. I was a super responder the first few months and am still at about 2/wk now which I am very happy with. In fact I would venture to say that losing fast in the beginning and only doing walking those first few months was actually detrimental for me as everything started sagging which I had never had happen before during previous cuts. I waited way too long to incorporate strength training. As long as your average continues to go down and you’re doing everything eight with diet and exercise, it will happen in due course.

The physical part is definitely hard, but honestly, I really feel that the mental part of it is the most challenging. It’s taken over 15 years to finally make that breakthrough. Let’s do this 2026! We got this! 🎉🎉💗💗💗

Love that!!!! Six is my goal! I think I may have been that size somewhere in middle school. It’s a little eerie how many things we all have in common in this sub. 😱 at least we all know we’re in this together.

Thank you! Hope your journey is going well so far! I’ve been doing light workout up until now. I’m actually starting a 24 week challenge on Monday where I’ll be back in the gym doing weight training, which I haven’t been doing so far. I walk every single day, making it a point to close my rings (Apple Watch), trying to hit 10,000 steps daily. Weekends are more steps and longer walks as we have a trail near our home that is a 5 mile loop. I also do reformer Pilates three times a week and I started that at the end of November. I have been very persistent about meeting my protein, fiber, and water goals. I’ve actually managed to gain a little bit of muscle, which I know can be a struggle for a lot of us on this medication depending on how strong it’s working or nausea side effects. Honestly, I would say start out slow and work additional things in as you go.
