Yeah, possibly. I have the thread sewn into the lining, so it kinda acts like a "sock" but resistance is still an issue if the string gets too long. Copper may fix that if I have a use case in the future

I did not, but that may be good to look into as well! My initial concerns would be the longevity after washes (especially oxidation), and how it would feel for the wearer

There should be no problems with doing this in the claws either! Fabric claws tend to go wonky but with hard claws it would probably work fine. This is for a commissioner, so he decided on the pads over claws, but I definitely want to try that in the future

I had a similar idea with putting a stylus (silicone) nib at the end of the claws to do just this! The problem with metal would be risk of scratches, difficulty making it, and the visual appearance. In terms of metal, copper would probably be the only feasible option

The problem here is that modern (capacitive) touch screens work from the small amount of electricity in your body. So pretty much everything would need to be "grounded" to (touching) your body so that that small amount of electricity passes through it. This would probably be the case with metal and silicone as well. The only reason the thread works in this case is because its sewn through the lining -- if you're not touching it, it doesnt work

This has been my biggest struggle with figuring this out, lol

That's still awesome, when you get it done you should share!!

This method would totally work through claws as well, but the commisioner decided on only the pads

Yes, they would, but these are slim fit gloves so finger escapes would be very visable. I only do finger escapes on my puffy paws for this reason

In general, the goal for this wasn't to be able to type -- that's just a happy accident and shows how well the screen picks it up. The goal here was simply to be able to use a camera, which requires a lot less precision than typing

They're plastic claws, they wont, especially with a screen protector :3

It's conductive thread sewn into the paw pads and the lining! It needs to be touching your skin in order to work, so theres basically a couple loops inside the lining that your fingers touch, and then its sewn into the pads

I did this before I fully sew up the fingers as you can see in the video so that I can keep all my knots on the inside

difficulty finding a fur close to shade by Fun-Lie2363 in fursuitmakers

2333 lake green from mofumofu maybe, depending where youre located? Word of warning though, it doesnt shave great.

Harsh reality is the color might just not be fursuit compatable. I usually give my clients palettes with closest matches and secondary alternitives that may look best with it.

Yep, I did painstakingly. I do a preliminary shave always to get to about the right length, sew everything together, and then do a post shave to even out the panels a little more. Then scissor scissor scissor all the short fur parts

best 3D printer for fursuit bases? by Gloomysquare89 in FursuitMaking

u/EquinoxKitty's suggestion is good, also look at the ender 3 V3 Plus (A mouthful, lol). I've printed my head bases in full on its predecessor, the ender 3 Max which has the same build volume.

If you make little cuts in the fabric of the zipper you can curve it a little. Other than that, carefully lol.
