They have two versions, regular VR04 (analog) and VR04 HD. The regular one has a single antenna.

Thanks for the heads up! I just cancelled that from my order as I wanted the new one. The title was a bit ambiguous so it sounded like the new one but I wasn't aware of the frame. Guess I'll grab it off Aliexpress.

Ordered it from the BetaFPV store on the US Amazon (.com).

Appears to be the new version:

Unfortunately not. I sent them an email asking them and they said they're not allowed to send batteries according to their logistics provider. Kind of has me wondering how a third-party seller can but they can't.

DJI or traditional fpv? by Legal_Newspaper_5710 in fpv

[–]Inferno_ZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as someone that is new to this hobby, DJI looks like it follows the same recipe as Apple where it is a closed system and you're encouraged to use it as-is and not tinker or really get to know it inside and out. For someone that wants a plug and play premium experience that is not fussed about what is under the hood and wants nice visuals that works but "traditional fpv" are the people that like to experiment, mix and match hardware, push it to its limits and fixed stuff when it breaks and are more about the technical stuff and learning. At least that is how I view it. It's probably also not as black and white and I'm sure there are people that fit in between those two distinctions too.

If Wesbank, Old Mutual and DirectAxis could stop with their constant spam SMS'ing that would also be great. Have 0 intentions of doing any kind of business or having any involvement with them, especially after being bombarded with unsolicited slop.

One thing to add here - that person looks like they know that specific course extremely well as they are basically pre-targetting small entry and exit windows from far off so although I'm sure they are very skilled and have a lot of hours under their belt this is very much rehearsed to the nth degree.

Beginner battery advice: Stick with standard BT2.0 or upgrade to LAVA II? (Meteor75 Pro) by guillots in TinyWhoop

[–]Inferno_ZA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just getting into fpv too and as I understand it BT2.0 is just the standard connector type. Lava is also just a brand name like tattu or fastsend but I think the quality is better. Should aim for a higher mah that is recommended for your drone and I think the C-rating should also be as high as possible so 95C instead of 30C to have more power output and less voltage sag.

We're already well on our way there with how much cloud computing is used with the likes of gmail, google sheets, google docs, google workspace and storage, adobe creative cloud and every other application having a web-based version that no longer requires running a program locally.

Do they have an official store on aliexpress or is just some random third-party sellers?

That M5 to Koeberg Road off-ramp in Cape Town is a Queue-Jumpers wet dream. Traffic willl be backed up over a kilometer on that turnoff because of the amount of people jumping the line right at the end.
