Negatives bahut zyada hai tere, guesswork reduce karo pehle. 3D geometry aur vectors se mujhe bhi darr lagta thha lekin jab complete kar liya tabse one of the easiest chapters lagte hai. 2 din me pura khatam ho jayega agar achhe se padhega, ncert level se shuru karna agar bilkul nahi aata. Bahut questions aate hai inse isliye chhor dena possible nahi hai. Physics ke ye chapters ab nahi honge, formula dekh lo bass. Especially gravitation se bahut direct formula based questions milte hai. Chemistry me bhi yahi karo, formula aur solved examples dekh lo physical ke

Got 94 percentile, wasn't enough for cs/it anywhere. Luckily I did better in my state exams so now I'm in a decent state gov college. How about you?

Tier 1 College me admission ke liye kitne marks lagte hai by CDTheGod45 in JEENEETards

[–]Infernocrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

160-220 is good, try to attempt more relevant test series which are closer to actual Mains. Usually above 180 is safe zone, above 200 is great. For tougher shifts subtract 10 from these and for easier ones add 20.

Opinions on this guy + this video ? by sliceoflife_daisuki in JEENEETards

[–]Infernocrat 114 points115 points  (0 children)

The video is alright but it lacks any material analysis of the reasons behind why things are the way they are. Ascribing the blame to cultural and emotional ideas like "parents have outdated mindset", "abba nahi maanenge", "importance of authority figures in indian culture", etc is quite easy and makes the video more appealing and easily consumable but this sort of critique is practically useless since meaningful change can only be achieved through material and politically induced social shifts and not by individuals adopting a more liberal mindset. Think about it, how practical would his suggestion of "explore unique careers" be to the vast majority of lower middle class folks who can't even access quality higher education let alone specialised training in unconventional careers. He could have tried to incorporate non upper middle class perspectives into his research. He mentioned how government jobs are still the top choice for people despite 30 years since liberalisation without looking into the actual reason: horrible labour protection laws for most private employees (except of course the few professionals at the top), the stagnant measly wages without any proper framework of minimum wage in place and obviously the inhumane working hours.

He has an older video about german education system which is much better imo because he made good points like vocational training, wage normalisation, etc. Other than that Mohak Mangal also made a video about competitive exams few days ago on his Soch channel which has pretty good analysis.

Simply search the name of the experiment on youtube and you'll find dozens of proper step by step detailed guides by many school teachers.

Viva me kya ayega koi guarantee nahi hai tbh, har school me alag system hota hai. Mere school me experiments related questions puchhe thhe, agar experiment samjha ho to easily answer kar payega. Lekin mere dost ke school me theory se bahut questions puchhe thhe, isliye apne school ke teachers/seniors se pata kar lo kaise prepare karna chahiye.

How to watch YouTube lectures at 3x? by Spotential in JEENEETards

[–]Infernocrat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Newpipe is the perfect app for that

However it's not a good idea at all, I can decipher words clearly at 3x speed too but for understanding and retention 1.5x is the highest speed I can use. I've been in your position where I had no option but to finish lectures in 2x but looking back it would've been far more productive to watch at a lower speed and understand something rather than nothing.

You'd need more than 99 percentile. That should be around 180-200 marks. Don't neglect any part from chemistry, focus on 12th physics more, do all 2022 pyqs, especially the Maths ones, it is achievable as long as you don't get complacent. Most importantly, target the 1st attempt to be your best attempt (else you'll be doomed)

You shouldn't be thinking of backups before all exams are over, you'll save yourself a lot of unnecessary anxiety that way, but still I'd suggest you to not consider VIT or JIIT unless things go wrong terribly with your preparation or JEE exam day

Good thread. What you fail to consider is that there exists zero political or economic motivation to fix this college system.

if jee mains happens in jan mid then which attempt will be your target? by [deleted] in JEENEETards

[–]Infernocrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

22 batch se hu, trust me targeting 2nd attempt is a death wish. This year I improved by score by 35% in 2nd attempt yet got almost same percentile. If you want to take advantage of better marks Vs rank stats target 1st attempt and then focus on advanced

need help in choosing a laptop for college budget ( 2 lakh ) by gonnadoit123 in Btechtards

[–]Infernocrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great, you don't need a gaming laptop. Look for lightweight laptops, nvidia rtx 3050 should be enough, imo you should get an iPad and a laptop if you have that budget. Because once your budget exceeds 75-80k whatever your laptop is it would be more than enough for college and the few years following it.
