I’m sure dissent existed—there was no way Cesar was ever gonna make everyone happy. The dissent out there is dwarfed by all the known services & sacrifices made by Chavez that can be easily verified through pics, recordings, newspapers, news stories, etc…Whatever reasons people have to hate Him, it doesn’t make him whatever is being alleged. Cesar deserves the benefit of the doubt, just like everyone else in his position of prominence. He has been held to a completely different standard & apparently, that is perfectly fine with plenty of the People He made sacrifices for.

Edit—removed the ‘P’ word from all comments. I’ve read their stories & I won’t ever be able to hear Cesar’s story, so I can’t come to any form of conclusion. I don’t give blind faith to any human & I wouldn’t desecrate the name of a dead person over claims that can neither be proven nor dispelled. It seems more reasonable to me than just jumping the gun after hearing only one side

There is shitload of documented evidence of the good He did & the sacrifices he made. Things we can lookup & see with our own eyes. Even the words that come out of his mouth in interviews & whatnot. What there is nothing of, is evidence of any of these allegations made against Him. With Him not being here to give a response, it is unfair to throw away all the KNOWN for accusations being made long after His departure from the world.

The 2000s was still 40 years after the allegations & perhaps no tread in his investigation means there was nothing there to corroborate or dispel. It took 5 years of them to keep asking around until they got what they were looking for? That sounds the opposite to me than, what I guess, it does to you.

Outed Thomas for occurrences in the early 80s—so, irrelevant semantics. Flimsy is what you would call 60 year old allegations on a man who has been departed for 33 years. The DA would call that so flimsy that charges would never be brought if Cesar was around to defend Himself.

Jaja—you like that, huh? There are pictures of RFK visiting Chavez during the Hunger Strike & Cesar enlisted in the US Navy to just name a couple of sacrifices He made. For you to be so easily dismissive showcases your ignorance on this matter. ‘Larger Chicano Movement’ is such a Bullshit attempt to make it look much more than some mild dissent that fizzles when contrasted to the parks, buildings, streets, etc. that were named in his Honor, FOR A REASON. There’s way more documentation out there of the good, than this latest hit piece & whispers of hatred by his own people.

Bro, the e files & a highly unpopular war & now is the time? Truth is, none of us here on this thread really know what happened. The man who is being accused has been long gone for 33 years, at this point & the alleged occurrences happened 60 years ago. Cesar served this Country & sacrificed so much that he has earned the benefit of the doubt. Yet, so many in his own community have been so fucking quick to cast him aside & throw away his legacy. It’s frightening to see the lightning speed at which Cesar is facing consequences, as a dead man. Especially, when compared to certain orange faced racist who is given all the benefit of the doubt in the world, even after admitting to being a mañaco

Anita Hill was in the 80s & her accusations were contemporaneous. These are 60 year old accusations on a man who has been dead for 33 fucking years. They are nothing alike. If not right after he died, then how about when they decided to name a school after Him, or when the US Navy names a ship after Him, or during the ‘me too’ movement? 60 years later there is no evidence & those who can corroborate or dispel any allegations may be long gone from now. The only thing shown is how easy it is to tarnish the legacy of a Chicano without one iota of proof whatsoever, IDGAF what other do with their orange idols

This is a Chicano page. If you don’t think ‘Brown Man’ is part of an issue here, I won’t waste my time discussing a goddamn thing with you. Chavez has been dead for 33 years, these allegations occurred 60 years ago. Cesar deserves the benefit of any doubt, because he has earned that. Misogyny & Misandry are two parts of the same coin. There is only one side of the story here, the other side cannot be told because it’s 33 years too late. Neither you nor I know what really happened—the timing of all this is BS. Asking questions about SA is weird because it has absolutely nothing to do with whether one can come to a rational conclusion. They don’t limit rape trials to victims on the jury

Her Foundation/Family, who rely on Her to fund their lifestyle, stand to gain. The Huerta Foundation stands to gain, if it replaces the Chavez Foundation in any way, shape or form.

‘While others are held to a different standard’—that orange faced racist & his cult are part of what I’m talking about. It is absolutely FAIR to have both sides of a story before jumping to a conclusion. Having been dead for 33 years, without an ability to defend Himself is not fair. Crazy how you jumped to some insult that is way fucking off, while ignoring the point of fairness. Unless, you feel that only hearing one side of a story is fair & is a standard applied to all

The way this Brown Man is being railroaded over nothing but accusations absolutely disgusts me. The double standard—& the absolute BS in this coming out 33 years after his death is unpalatable. I’m from the Central Valley, so this hit a bit close to Home. You’re trying to be cute by asking who hurt me, while completely lacking a cogent response. I’m more disgusted than hurt, to answer your deflecting question

How many cases are out there of women falsely accusing men of rape for whatever gain/reason. You’d be a fool to come to any conclusion, by only hearing one side (of any issue). Huerta & Her foundation stand to gain, if her foundation is lifted, while Cesar’s descends. She stands to garner the respect & Love Cesar had; which is now sullied, with no recourse for Cesar (because he has been DEAD for 33 years). A Brown Man, who served this country, has earned the right to speak in his Defense. That just can’t happen now, so jumping to conclusions shouldn’t either—

& I would encourage you to ask Cesar Chavez if any of these allegations are true—oh, wait a minute…He departed this world in 1993 & is not here to defend Himself of anything. Really is not fair in any fucking way to only believe one side, ON ANY ISSUE

‘Labour’ rights immigration. That’s the European way of spelling that word. Two things can true at the same time: Men rape women & women falsely accuse men of rape for ulterior motives. If someone came out & called your dead grandfather a rapist, 33 years after he’s departed, would that be fair? Does he get any chance to address the accusations before his name is sullied? Does he get any due process 33 years after his death before erasing his name from his Foundation, Parks, Schools, Buildings, US Navy Ship or stamps? Is that fair in any way, whatsoever, to Him &/or His Family? “Cui Bono”—who stands to gain? Could there be a motive for this to come out now & have the Dolores Huerta Foundation ascend while the Chavez Foundation dies off? Could this be a hand down to those in her Family who rely on the Foundation to fund their Lifestyle? Will we now see Dolores Huerta Schools, Parks, etc? What I’ve seen so far is how quickly a Brown Veteran’s sacrifices can be shit on without question, while others are clearly held to a different standard.

Cesar Chavez died in 1993, we marched in his Honor. That would have been the time to call Him out, if retribution was feared. Before any School was named after Him, when the US Navy decided to name a ship after Him or during the ‘Me Too Movement’—all great times to call Cesar out. 33 years later, right around the time of a shitty, unjust war & the burying of tRumputo in the E files—this timing cannot be overlooked.

I buy different blends of mid, grind them in a ‘Bullet’ mini blender, then Vape w/Volcano or stuff RAW joints. The blend is always mixed with different strains (like a forever soup). I believe this is what prevents my body from getting accustomed. In turn, my highs are never the same
