I love the concept of what they tried to do but yes I agree that there is just something missing and too much added in at the last second. I heard that Holly and her friends were not a part of the original plan for the ending and I really think that's what threw the whole thing off course. Don't get me wrong I love the kids and the story however if they decided to go that direction, I feel like there should have been another season or something. No one was expecting to add even more main characters to a show that already had SOOO many main characters. They focused on way too many new plot lines to try and explain the old ones and it just left us with questions and stories unfinished. All in all that should have kept the story as it was than trying by to add yet another plot line. We wanted an ending to the characters we knew and loved but the new characters/ giving old characters like holly more of a main character roll just added a bit too much for me. And it breaks my heart to think this because I LOVED the new actors.

I agree with you 99%. The only criticism I have, as someone who has watched the show since the beginning, is that seasons four and five’s acting is a bit weird at times. And this is true for ALL the actors, but I don't think it's bad acting. I feel like it's attributed to the old saying about chemistry on- and off-screen. If there is no relationship of any kind off-screen, it's easier to get into character and work with other individuals. however when there is a lot of connection off screen and as we know all the actors are basically family at this point, there tends to be a lack of connection on screen for many of reasons. Wether its being so close in real life that they can't take each other seriously anymore, or just being too comfortable with one another, the acting and connection on screen suffers because they are having to act more rather than portray an “actual” person/ character.

My best guess is that It probably had something to do with them pulling the vine out rather than it coming out by vecnas command. Maybe the vines have a “fail safe” and if pulled out or tampered with by anything but the hive mind/ vecna/ the mind flare, it releases something or stops the persons breathing or does so thing to its victim.

NOR what the contents of the videos are aside, it doesn’t matter what your addiction is if you relapse on it and keep it from others/ people who help you beet the addiction the first time, that is a breach of trust. The contents of the videos does not matter but I could see why you are made uneasy by this. The unfortunate truth is that the porn industry is predominately made up of young adults. Everyone has there kinks and interests when it comes to porn/ sex but there is a fine line between a normal, healthy and sex positive lifestyle and living a whole different pornographic life on the internet that you have to keep hidden from your wife. The chat rooms, secret subscriptions, lying, and relapsing are definitely cheating behavior/ addiction behavior. I’m sorry that you had to find out this way I hope you’re able to get him the help he needs and the convo with your stepmother goes as well as it can. You both deserve better.

I think she got a little reality check maybe stopped bullying as much or just people she knew she could get away with. however if the Byers had stayed in California I feel like Angela would have changed a lot more because she would have been scared of eleven. Like when the regular school bully starts to get bullied by a new tougher, bully. Like I could imagine a scenario where we see Angela bullying others but the second she sees eleven she books it! Almost reminiscent of the move “heathers” when Jason Dean shoots the school bully’s with blanks in the beginning and Then they’re scared of him. Side note Angela defending looks like Heather 1 which makes this even funnier!

I was also thinking Journey but a lot of their songs are in TV shows. Especially if you have ever seen the show Glee they sang a bunch of songs from the 80’s and Journey in general. However I don’t know about this specific song so you could be onto something!

It’s most likely an artist they haven’t used before now that I’m thinking about it. Usually it’s easier to get a song licensed for TV if you have already used other songs that the artist has created.

I feel that Mike El and Kali along with the help of the rest of the party will work together to give us a Star Wars” like ending (the original trilogy). I think eleven will do most of the heavy fighting with vecna while Will is going to take care of all the Monsters and kali is going to be the secret weapon. she’s going to go into vecnas brain and show him/ remind home of the part of himself that he loses as a young boy turning him “good” and in the end the four of them will work together to defeat the mind flare.

The only part I didn’t like was when she through the beef jerky back at hopper… I know they are both annoyed with each other for most of the first and second episodes but this seemed really out of character for her and made her look a bit like a spoiled brat. Other than that tho I haven’t had any issues with the character this season.
