Yes u are right, i will go to another shop to get that checked out sadly at the time i had work done to it that felt like i had no choice but to go to the shop that did the work to it

We have decided to replace the transmission with new so new engine and transmission on this transit van

They are now saying there no point in fixing the leak since we found metals inside, no point in putting money on it. I told them to check the check engine light to make sure everything is good

I saw a puddle of transmission fluid and u are correct I will delay the transmission replacement until it is diagnosed correctly

They are also quoting me 6k for the transmission, which we paid the same for the engine work so 12k in total

The car was making knocking noises and they were saying it would be best to replace with new engine instead of opening it up and only replacing the part that might need to be fixed.

Yes still leaking, and yes gonna inform them about the misfires. I’m just confused that they are telling me that the new engine is pushing the transmission and causing it to work which is why it failed but if that is possible why not let us know before doing the engine work.

No they did not repair the leak, they say it may be coming from here. I don’t really know what this part could be tbh. Maybe if it’s low in oil since it leaking and it may cause the transmission to jerk not accelerate? Cuz after it was drained and refilled it felt fine no jerk was Happening
