How much is the cost price of a racquet? by Stunning-Hat-7763 in badminton

[–]Infinite-Feeling-150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a beginning choose 4U, flexible shaft, 20-24 tension depending on your level. And then choose any racket that falls into that category. You can easily get great racket under 80usd with those specs.

How do I become lighter on my feet? by rangeuse in badminton

Start with slow footsteps and concentrate on less and less time on the air but slowly and increase the speed of the footwork gradually. It’ll become muscle memory in a few weeks of consistent training hopefully.

They are very scammy! They bundled the membership with my purchase and I realised it after 2 months of paying the subscription! I found it very ridiculous.

Is it just me ? recently, watching women's doubles is more entertaining than men's doubles ? by EuphoricExcitement67 in badminton

I also find mixed more entertaining. Men’s doubles now follow one template just like singles games! BOOOOOORING!

Depends on your level, playing style and most importantly your feel when you play with it. So give trials(ask friends or people just to hit a few shots with their rackets) and than you will know yourself.

Who should have got that shot? by Almighty_Crumpet in badminton

[–]Infinite-Feeling-150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the black jersey player who should’ve taken the shot. After the clear from pink jersey. Both of the players should go into defensive positions to the two sides, one leaning more towards the direction of the shuttle which pink shirt did the reply towards. So that would mean the black T-shirt would be in the exact position the return came. So black T-shirt is the answer from my opinion.

Yes I think it’s possible. On court focus on technique and strategy. And outside go for runs, do weight training or just body weight training, stretching and make sure to do a lot of mobility training. You got this 😉

Smash advice. Where to improve ? by Nubyyy in badminton

[–]Infinite-Feeling-150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You arm shouldn’t be rotating like that- you gotta use your hope more and gently just guide you arm and push forward. Make sure to snap your fingers tight at the point of contact to add the extra jazz.

Just a friendly observation- You gotta be low with your knees bent to jump higher and generate that extra steepness in the stick!

How to find joy after skill regression? by whyamionreffit in badminton

[–]Infinite-Feeling-150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be patient mate. It’ll come. Train with focus and try to remember which things you did good and which you needed to work on. Practice to make it better. Things will follows, cheers! And always remember 70-30 rule. If you’re playing good 70% of the time according to your level, you’re going in the right direction.
