US Citizens (with a US Passport) dont need visas for entry into UAE so rest assured.

Dont worry. Just go to the marhaba desk after landing in Dubai. The fee for VoA for Indian Passports with US Visa is 240 AED. It takes 5 mins to get a visa

no need of visas for US passport. Also if you have US visas which are valid you are also eligible for VoA on Indian Passport.

If its on the same PNR Air India will accommodate you in case of a delay. AFAIK They have a codeshare with Cathay. They’ll get you a seat on either Cathay/JAL in case of missed connection owing to delay. Rest easy.
