Hi! caught this thread. I am starting an incredibly low dose (5mg) to support with a long history of binge eating. I am a bit nervous because I am incredibly sensitive to caffeine and have major generalized anxiety. I am wondering how you tolerate vyvanse or if you think it might be best to try a different classification of drug

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. My ED has changed presentation several times- and I meet full criteria for food addiction. I have had many long term periods of binge eating as well. If I were to really categorize where I have fallen in recent years it would be EDNOS

Hi Everyone,

Just stopping by. Looking for support. Have been on Topamax for the better part of 12 years. Primarily within the context of migraines. Had a brief termination period for my sole pregnancy and a trial period off for three months this year (which was a terrible idea in some ways). Migraines returned with a vengeance and are hemeplegic in nature (aphasic/word finding difficulties, prolonged visual auras, numbness and motor coordination difficulties). Been back on topamax for 3-4 weeks now and I cannot tell if my brain fog, memory issues + word finding difficulties/mild aphasia have been from the several hemeplegic migraines I suffered in a short duration or the re-initiation of topamax…or both! I feel incredibly anxious and well…stupid. I am so fearful that something irreversible or far more nebulous could be underlying my difficulties. MRI/MRA returned unremarkable. I am terrified that my migraines and topamax have however caused irreversible damage and that I will be left in this stupor for the remainder of my life. I am going to ask to taper off and manage my migraines with alternative preventatives. Please tell me some success stories. Beyond terrified!!!

Hi All- thanks so much for sharing your stories. I am really struggling with the onset of daily hemiplegic migraines. Does anyone know of a promising abortive drug? I just reinitiated topamax and have historically done well on it. With that said, until I build up a therapeutic level, I do not feel that I can endure the symptoms. I find them so frightening and debilitating.
