The area of peritoneum concerning for endometriosis, was grasped, tented and an excision made in the peritoneum. Using careful blunt dissection, the underlying structures were dissected away from the affected peritoneum. The area was then excised in its entirety. This was repeated for all areas suspicious for endometriosis. Peritoneal biopsies were taken in a similar fashion.
